Here We Go Again!

A. V 1.
B. She is my sister
Gen 12:11-13 “11 When he was about to enter Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, “I know that you are a woman beautiful in appearance, 12 and when the Egyptians see you, they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me, but they will let you live. 13 Say you are my sister, that it may go well with me because of you, and that my life may be spared for your sake.””

Abimelech’s Dream

A. God sets the record straight. God will always reveal truth to you.
B. Abimelech claimed innocence due to the admission of both Sarah and Abraham.
C. God keeps him from sinning
We see in Josephs life in Gen 39:9 “9 He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?””
That God took care for Joseph. And in Ps 51:4 “4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment.”
God does the same for David.
God wants to do that for us too.

He is a Prophet

A. Abraham was to pray for the house of Abimelech
B. The house was healed

Abraham prayed for Abimelech

James 5:16 ESV
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Are we not to do these things today? Do you pray for me and others? Do I pray for you?

Abimelech restored Sarah

A. She is vindicated in the eyes of those around her
