It’s difficult to stay focused on the word of God when you submit yourself to such a daily barrage of wordly CONDITIONING stuff.
We set aside may 1 - 1.5 hours a week.
Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Essentially, staying the course requires a steadfast determination to remain faithful to God and His plan, regardless of personal circumstances or external pressures.
