IN HONOR OF

Why is it so hard to understand the importance of giving the honor to Jesus Christ? In fact why do we want to be guilty of denying the savior of our lives all the praises and honor? Also why ignore the very essence and the existence of Jesus Christ? These are perhaps three questions that run in the minds of the true worshipers of GOD, and are very strong and very precise questions to all! I mean not only to the lost, of those who walk in darkness, but even those who claim to be among those who truly belong to GOD.

Ok the lost are the lost, and they are aware of what goes on in this world as well as with the found. My concern is to those who know that all honor belongs to Jesus to the glory of GOD, and yet they still can not bow down and accept it at all. One example is that when we pray to our Heavenly Father we do this in the name of Jesus, some times in the beginning and in between, but most importantly we pray to GOD through Jesus, we give thanks in the name of Jesus, and we end our prayer in the name of Jesus (Eph.5:20)Giving thanks always for all things unto GOD and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Heb13:15)By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to GOD continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

After reading these two passages, it is written for us to know, and that we need to follow the commandments of GOD. Regardless of anything it is our duty and its required of us, not just because it’s a commandment, we do this to give GOD praise, honor and glory for what he has done for all, specially those that belong to him (Jo.5:23) That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not the Son honors not the Father who sent him. He that denies and refuses to do the will of GOD is guilty of despising the will of GOD, because He has not called to disobedience, but unto holiness (1Thess.4:7-8) For GOD has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. He therefore that despises [rejects], despises not man, but GOD, who has also given unto us His Holy Spirit. So, I say what is to be expected of those who do not honor Jesus Christ our savior, and Lord.

To begin, as we know that GOD gave His only begotten Son to die for the world (Jo.3:16) For GOD so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jesus came in the form of man, but without sin or guile in his mouth (1Pet.2:22). He came to save the lost and heal the sick, came to turn those of dark to the light, and those who needed to become whole he made whole. He came to do the will of GOD and set an example for everyone to see, not only in the eyes of those in his time, but also to those of now days. Only now days we have the manual, our guide, the written Holy Spirit of GOD, the word of GOD that teaches us everything there is to know what God expects from us.

First and above all Jesus taught us to be merciful, and show compassion, and give loving kindness to all, as these are the footsteps that we need to follow. So that maybe one day we too can reach that stature of Christ (Eph.4:13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of GOD, unto a perfect [full-grown] man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. On the other hand we are also given some leniency with some of our behavior patterns such as our anger, only it needs to be godly wrath, and as well as our containment (Ro.12:18) If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men. Another is in (Eph.4:26) be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down on your wrath. Although we do have this leniency it is not to be taken advantage of, or over looked by the mere ignorance that is within us day in and day out.

Assuming or living with the idea that we will be forgiven, despite we still have to ask GOD for forgiveness, because if we don’t then it falls in the category of deliberate, and willful sins (Heb.10:26) For if we willfully sin after we have received the knowledge of truth, there remains no more sacrifices for sins. Although, it may appear at times as if, and that we want to do away with a lot of the wrong doings that exists in this world. We must force our selves not to even get involved at all, and I’m speaking simply for our conscience sake (Ro13:5)Wherefore you must need be subject, not only for wrath, but for conscience sake. Well despite of everything that goes on in this world, our only affiliation should be that we teach everyone that has interest in knowing who Jesus Christ is, so they too will understand that we need to honor our Lord and Savior.

Secondly, we know that Jesus came into this world for many purposes, but the main one was to die for all. So, all can have the opportunity of being saved, and not perish in the inferno of hell (Jo.3:15) That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but [may in him] have eternal life. He sacrificed himself for the entire world, of those then and everyone today, because those who through Jesus do belong to GOD have been sealed for that glorious day (Eph4:30-32;5:1-2). Although we know that he had many purposes, another of his purpose was to do away with the carnal law and bring in our spiritual law that has been written on our hearts (2Cor3:1-4)

As I have read the holy word of GOD many times over and over, never tiring always pleasant, of how we are supposed to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how many times it is there for all to know without a doubt, what it means to honor Jesus Christ. It really gets to me just how easy it is to those who know what they should be doing, and yet they still don’t do it. Either, they are truly ignorant, or they have no regard for what Jesus has done for us. Perhaps its out of their arrogance, and do not really care about any of it. Its their way of showmanship of hypocrisy, trying to look good to men instead of GOD.

What was it that Jesus Christ spoke of these type of men having the good doctrine; but were evil examples: Hypocrites and vipers (Matthew 23) they have been in existence for many, many years even unto this day, and we all know of whom I am speaking of, I say search your hearts to see if you are in the right and begin to give Jesus Christ his due. As I mentioned earlier in (Jo.5:23) if you honor the Son you honor the Father who sent him. I don’t mean to sound judgmental, but in regard to the obvious if you have been given the opportunity just I have, it would be sound advice to hear and to know what is expected from each and everyone of us. Besides we must realize that maybe this absent mindedness could hinder us from eternal life. To me, just thinking on this is very frightful, to think that I will not be able to enter GOD’S rest, His realm, His home. Wouldn’t it be much safer to give in to all of GOD’S commandments and that includes giving all the honor to Jesus Christ.

Meaning if we are told or rather commanded to always give thanks in his name and not do it, what should we expect? Is it hard for some of you to do this or perhaps it’s a forgetful thing. Well what ever the reason its not enough, we must subject ourselves to everything that is our duty. If you know how to give a pledge of allegiance to the flag of this country, why then can we give the same honor to Christ our savior.

One thing that comes to mind is an old cliché that goes like this “to gain respect you must give respect”. Well I truly believe that in order to gain honor we must give honor as well as this stated to the children of GOD (Ro.2:7,10)To them who by patience continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: But glory, honor, and peace to every man that works good. Guess what happens to those who do not do what is expected, we can anger GOD(Ro.2:8-9) But to them that are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, upon every man that does evil. This passage includes all, everyone, from sinners to the righteous no one can escape the wrath of GOD (Heb.10:31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living GOD. With this being read it should be considered a fair warning to all, but more so to those who belong to Him.

Lets consider the outcome of this simple yet strong notion, again if we are commanded to give all honor to our savior why then hold back, why refrain? Its very simple to understand that anyone can and perhaps will be guilty of sinning willfully (Heb10:26-29) For if we willfully sin after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifices for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of GOD, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? Speaking of fair warning there is no more warning after this. Lets give them their due! All praises to our Heavenly Father, and His Son Jesus Christ!
