Job 23:12

The most amazing thing about the Bible is that it just keeps going!
Through persecution.
Through desertion.
Through revolution.
Here are three common DESCRIPTIONS of God’s Bible:

I. God’s Inspired Book.

Job 23:12 “Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.”
Inspired -
Definition (Miriam Webster online) outstanding or brilliant in a way or to a degree suggestive of divine inspiration
First Known Use: 15th century, in the meaning defined above
theopneustos is the word translated “inspiration” in
2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
Theos - God
Pneuma - Spirit , wind
examples:

II. God’s Inerrant Book.

Mark 8:37-38 “37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
Inerrant -
Definition: incapable of being wrong (Oxford)
Only two known items in the universe cannot be wrong, nor have the ability to be wrong:
The Almighty God.
The Holy Bible.

III. God’s Infallible Book.

Isaiah 66:2 “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”
Infallible -
Definition: never failing; always effective
God’s word works.
Isaiah 55:11 “11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
God’s word washes.
Ephesians 5:26-27 “26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
God’s word watches.
Galatians 3:8 “8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.”
Conclusion:
Are you saved?
Are you clean?
