Introduction

During a course of journey a Scholar conversed with the boatman "Have you ever studied grammar? No, said the boatman. Scholar said, what a waste of life! Later boat crashed & boatmen asked to the scholar, wise man tell me, have you ever learned to swim? "No," said the scholar, I've never learned. I've immersed myself in thinking." the boatman said, you've wasted all your life. Alas, the boat is sinking."

How true we also like the scholar are well equipped with the knowledge of this world which makes us jealous, selfish, proud, hypocrite & rationale to such a extent that we hardly recognize the poor state of our spiritual life and keep on mal nourishing our Soul forgetting that the carnal knowledge does not assures us of Salvation nor of Eternal Life.

Bible declares that the Fear of the Lord is beginning of the knowledge-that has been revealed unto us by the author and finisher of our faith through His Holy Spirit to the various men of God over thousand of years and has been accumulated into a single book known as, “The Holy Bible”- It contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of Salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Through the acquaintance of the knowledge from the Bible we come to know God’s plan and purposes of our individual life as well as that of the whole mankind and the knowledge of the Bible helps us to gain life over death, good over evil, humbleness over pride, holiness over sin, blessings over curses, prosperity over poverty, health over sickness, heaven over hell, love over hatred, acceptance over rejection, forgiveness over unforgiveness, justice over injustice, righteousness over unrighteousness, sound mind over corruptible/carnal mind with a end result of transformation of ourselves in the image and likeness of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus.

Friends, let us be like the boatman who according to worldly measure was not scholar but had the life saving skill of swimming; Unto us also a “Life Saving Saviour- Jesus Christ” has been revealed and God has given each one of us Skill of self will wherein we have the liberty either to accept or reject God’s plan of Salvation which He has established and fulfilled in His Son Jesus Christ.. The real journey of our lives starts only after we die, it’s the decision in this earthly life that shall decide for where shall we spend our eternity In Heaven or Hell?

For the word of the Cross is foolishness to them that perish; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought.- Holy Bible.
