*RE.
FERDINAND FUNK APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO ADVANCED CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION*
* *

To whom it may concern:

This is to indicate that Ferdinand Funk is recognized as an ordained pastor* *in Mennonite Church Manitoba (MCM).
In the Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, one of the MCM congregations, Ferd has served as the lead pastor for 11 years; before that he served as associate pastor for many years as well.
Mennonite Church Manitoba stands behind and supports Ferd through encouraging further education, offering pastoral boundaries seminars and other growth workshops, encouraging his involvement in the monthly pastor cluster support group, interacting with his congregation through Sunday morning worship and other church events, and being available for individual consultation and encouragement.
Over these many years Ferd has very capably fulfilled his congregational leadership responsibilities of preaching, teaching, administration and pastoral care.
He is currently a pastor~/ member in good standing of MCM.
His involvements go well beyond his local congregation, including participation in pastors’ fellowships, annual MCM conferences and in MCM-related agencies.
Presently he serves on the Board of Bethania Personal Care home.
As MCM’s Director of Leadership Ministries, I wholeheartedly endorse Ferd as a suitable person to provide spiritual and religious care.
Sincerely,

Henry Kliewer
Director of Leadership Ministries,
Mennonite Church Manitoba
