Hope is Good! and we never want to go thru life without it, but Hope alone will not change your life.
But Habits will change your life!!!
Let’s look at Habits
What did you do last Tuesday?
Most likely something that is like Wed.
Wake up
Get ready for the day
go to work
take the some route
eat lunch
come home
eat supper
go to bed
You are on autopilot
Most of What you normally do isn’t the result of Hope, but the results of habits

· Over 40% of the actions you do daily are not the result of decisions, but the result of habits. Duke University

If you want Changed Life, you have to Change habits, and develop Holy Habits
A nail is driven out by another nail. Habit is overcome by habit.
Desiderius Erasmus
We can start just by one habit at a time
In 587 BC Kig Neb. destroyed Jer.
He killed countless people
Burned the Temple
Took the best to Babylon
Indoctrinated young men including Daniel
Daniel Had no Chance
it took a turn though
King Neb had some crazy dreams
Daniel interprets them
King presents offerings
and says Surely Your God is the one true God
How Did God do Something so big thru Daniel?

God Often Does Big Things Through Small Habits.

Daniel had the Kings Favor
The king planned to promote Daniel
But others of influence got a bit jealous
decided to take him out
Because they only found integrity
Daniel 6:5 NIV
Finally these men said, “We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God.”
These men pressured the King to make a new law
anyone that prays to anyone other than the king for the next 30 days
straight to the lions den
but there was one habit that made Daniel be set apart
Daniel 6:10 NIV
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
For Daniel, a man faithful in prayer, the family sedan of prayer life, nothing, absolutely nothing, was able to keep him from his time of prayer—not even a death sentence attached to an irrevocable decree!
Rodney Stortz; R. Kent Hughes
Daniel knew that prayer was the most important time of his day, it was his life line, so He saw the importance of make prayer a daily habit
That Habit allowed him to
Set himself apart
faith to stare down lions
and had trust in God
Daniel 6:23 NIV
The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

Do not underestimate the power of a small habit in how it can be the starting point for something significant, with God's involvement.
