Welcome to the Table of the Lord
English: Dear Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you to the Table of the Lord with the words of scripture from Galatians 3:26ff
26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
We have come to his table to rejoice in God’s promise of salvation. We come with hearts full of awe and wonder of what God has done and continues to do in our lives. We gather to share in Fellowship with Christ and with one another, remembering that Jesus sent us into the world to invite people into fellowship with Christ and His church. In communion with God and with each other we seek to be strengthened and inspired to let the Holy Spirit work through us in the world until he returns in Glory. In the Name of Jesus, our Lord and our Host, I bid you Welcome.
German: Liebe Brüder und Schwestern, ich lade Euch ein zum Tische des Herrn mit den Worten aus 2 Kor. 5:17: Ist jemand in Christus, so ist er eine neue Kreatur; das Alte ist vergangen, siehe ich mache alles neu.
Wir versammeln uns an diesem Pfingstsonntag um den Tisch des Herrn. Mit dankbaren Herzen wollen wir mit Jesus Christus und mit einander das heilige Abendmahl nehmen. Wir erinnern uns an den grossen Missionsbefehl der uns durch die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes gegeben wurde. Um den Tisch den Herrn suchen wir gestärkt und ermutigt zu werden für den Auftrag, den er uns gegeben hat, bis er in der Herrlichkeit des Vaters wiederkommt. Christus heißt uns Willkommen. Laßt uns seiner Stimme folgen.
Wir wollen uns auch mit unseren lieben Geschwistern im Kingsford Haus verbunden wissen. Wir werden auch die Versammelten Geschwister dort mit dem Abendmahl bedienen.
Gebet / Prayer
German: Unser Heiland, Herr Jesus, wir versammeln uns vor Dir mit Danksagung für dein Gnadenangebot. Dir sei Lob, Ehre und Preis, der du allein würdig bist. Danke, himmlischer Vater, daß wir mit dir und miteinander in deinem Leib Gemeinschaft pflegen dürfen. Heute preisen wir dich für die vier Geschwister, die du hinzugetan hast. Sei uns nahe wenn wir, als deine Heiligen, unseren Bund mit dir und miteinander erneuern. Gib deinen Heiligen Geist vollen Raum, sich in uns und durch uns zu bewegen.
English: Loving heavenly Father, we offer our Praise to you. As we gather before you, we desire to renew our covenant with you and with each other in the Body of Christ. In obedience to your command, we break the bread and drink the cup in your memory. We commend ourselves into your love and grace as we partake of this holy meal. Amen!

Words of institution:
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
it is right that we call to mind the
meaning of this Supper.
It is a remembrance of the sacrifice of Christ
for the sins of the world;
an encounter with the risen Lord;
a feeding on him in faith;
a communion with one another in his body,
the church;
and an anticipation of the day when
he will come again.
It is the Lord’s Table, and all who are baptized are
invited to it.
Therefore, let us come to the Lord’s Table in faith,
knowing our weakness, renouncing our sin,
trusting in Christ, seeking his grace.
Liebe Gemeinde, es ist recht, daß wir uns die Bedeutung des Abendmahls neu in den Sinn rufen.
Es ist eine Erinnerung an das Opfer, daß Christus für die Sünden der Welt wurde.
Es ist eine Begegnung mit dem auferstandenen Christus,
Ein geistliches Brot, an dem sich unsere Seele ernährt.
Eine geistliche Gemeinschaft, die wir miteinander im Leib Christi pflegen.
Das Abendmahl richtet unsere Hoffnung auf das große Freudenfest, das wir dermaleinst am Ende dieser Zeit mit Gott und alle Heiligen feiern werden.
Dies ist der Tisch des Herrn, und alle, die getauft sind, sind eingeladen am Mahl teilzunehmen.
Deshalb, laßt uns im Glauben zum Tische des Herrn kommen.
Wir erkennen unsere Schwachheit. Wir widerrufen unsere Sünde, wir vertrauen auf Christus und suchen seine Gnade.
SCRIPTURE LESSON: 1 Cor. 11:23-29
“…I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be answerable for the body and blood of the Lord. 28 Examine yourselves, and only then eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 for all who eat and drink without discerning the body, eat and drink judgement against themselves.” NRSV
1. Korinther 11:23-29
“Der Herr Jesus, in der Nacht, da er verraten ward, nahm er das Brot, dankte und brach’s und sprach: ‘Das ist mein Leib, der für euch gegeben wird; das tut zu meinem Gedächtnis.’ Desgleichen nahm er auch den Kelch nach dem Mahl und sprach: ‘Dieser Kelch ist der neue Bund in meinem Blut; das tut, sooft ihr daraus trinkt, zu meinem Gedächtnis.’ Denn sooft ihr von diesem Brot esst und aus dem Kelch trinkt, verkündigt ihr den Tod des Herrn, bis er kommt.”
“Welcher nun unwürdig von diesem Brot ißt, oder von dem Kelch des Herrn trinkt, der ist schuldig am Leib und Blut des Herrn. Ein jeder aber prüfe sich selbst, und also esse er von diesem Brot und trinke von diesem Kelch. Denn wer unwürdig ißt und trinket, der ißt und trinkt sich selber zum Gericht, damit daß er nicht unterscheidet den Leib des Herrn.”
PRAYER FOR SELF-EXAMINATION:
Almighty God, our minds have so many hidden places that it is difficult to clean them from all deception. Grant that we may honestly examine ourselves. Shine upon us with the light of your Holy Spirit. In confessing to you our hidden faults, allow us to respond to you in pure and spotless worship.
We come before God in silent confession…
SERVING THE BREAD:
As the many grains of wheat must be crushed to produce the flour that gives us bread, so we too as individual members of the Church must give up our own selfish desires so that the Identity of Christ can find full expression and flavor through the life of the Body.
Today we will pass the tray through the rows and we invite you to serve each other with the words “The Body of Christ broken for you.” We will wait until all have been served and then we will eat together.
Wie die vielen Weizenkörner vermahlt werden müßen um das Mehl herzustellen, das uns das Brot gibt, so müßen wir unsere eigensüchtigen Wünsche aufgeben, damit ein Größeres, nämlich der Leib Christi, Gestalt und Geschmack annehmen kann.
Wenn das Brot ausgeteilt wird, so bitten wir, daß ihr Euch gegenseitig bedient, mit den Worten “Der Leib Christi gebrochen für dich.” Wir warten mit dem Essen bis alle bedient worden sind, und dann wollen wir gemeinsam essen.

SERVING OF THE CUP:
Desselbigen auch den Kelch nach dem Mahl. Wie die einzelnen Trauben einer Rebe zermahlt werden müßen um den lieblichen Saft des Weinstockes zu produzieren, so müßen auch wir als einzelne Gemeindeglieder bereit sein, uns selbst aufzugeben, um Jesus Christus durch uns fließen zu lassen. Jesus sprach, Dieser Kelch ist das neue Testament in meinem Blut; solches tut sooft ihr’s trinket zu meinem Gedächtnis.
In the same way he took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.”
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup,
you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
Prayer of thanks for the cup:
Brother will give Thanks for the Cup.
Distribution of the Cup
Again, when you receive the cup we ask that you serve each other with the words, “The blood of Christ shed for you.” We will drink together after all have been served.

Partaking of the Cup
This cup is the new covenant sealed by Christ’s blood, which was shed to the forgiveness of our sins. Let us drink in memory of Him.
RESPONSE:
Brothers and Sisters, we have followed the Lord's invitation to come to his table. We have drawn from the well of his love and forgiving grace. We have been nurtured in our faith and strengthened for our journey. Let us give Praise to God!
