1 Peter 4:10 NKJV
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Everyone Has a Gift

Peter was one of Jesus’s close friends

He was
++A Fisherman
++Called to follow Christ
++To be a fisher of men

He was a target of Satan

Luke 22:31–32 NKJV
31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
Satan always wants
++People that are close to Jesus
++To sift people of influence
Sift Means
++put (a fine, loose, or powdery substance) through a sieve so as to remove lumps or large particles
++examine (something) thoroughly so as to isolate that which is most important or useful
When you are tested
++Faith is the most important thing
++Your faith has to remain
Faith reminds us of what
++Is of real value
++Is the truth

Use Your Gift

1 Peter 4:7 NKJV
7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

Each of us have limited time

Ecclesiastes 12:1 NKJV
1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”:
We must
++Embrace this moment
++Make good use of the time
John 9:4 NKJV
4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
Jesus recognized
++The limitations of this life
++There will never be a better time

What was the work of Christ?

Matthew 20:28 NKJV
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Jesus came
++Not to be served
++To serve
++To give his life
++To be the ransom for many

Serve one another

1 Corinthians 12:12 NKJV
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

Every part is valuable

In the Body
++Every member has a purpose
++Every member is needed
++There is no insignificant part
1 Corinthians 12:15–18 NKJV
15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? 18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

You are here for a purpose

No one
++Can be you
++Can bring what you bring
++Can do what you do

You are a gift from God

Ephesians 4:8 NKJV
8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”

God provides what is needed

God gives gifts
++We can see
Ephesians 4:11 NKJV
11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
God gives gifts
We can see
++To strengthen the body
Ephesians 4:12 NKJV
12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
God gives gifts
We can see
To strengthen the body
++To unify the body
Ephesians 4:13 NKJV
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

God uses the members

Ephesians 4:16 NKJV
16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
When the whole body is
++Joined together
++Knitted together
The body grows
++not from the outside in
++from the inside out
The tie that bind us
++Is not the gifted
++is not the talented
We are the Body of Christ
Galatians 3:28 NKJV
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 4:10 NKJV
10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
As we have recieved grace
++Use it to serve one another
++Be a good steward of what God has given
