REVIEW
So far we can summarize what we have studied about Bamidbar - in the wilderness / Numbers by this Summary
b’Midbar Sinai, take a census, arrange the camp, and Naso Levites for holy work—b’Ha’alot’cha the lamps, shine through the night for God!
Sh’lach l’Cha spies if you must, but trust God to slay the giants! Don’t sink in Korach’s jealousy. God has a place for all, and that’s the bald truth!
Chukat, statutes of, instruction will keep us pure if we obey. God’s ways are mysterious! Lifting the bronze serpent saves!
Even a donkey knows Balak can’t destroy what God will bless! But idolatry seduces, until Pinchas’ zeal spears the darkness dead!
We spoke about
The main issue with Korach
The essential argument - we are all equal, all betrothed, all in marriage= equalizer.
EVERY MAN IN HIS PLACE.
Three levels of Arrogance and Characteristics:
Distorted Thinking
Today very predominant
4 different kinds of law
4 Types for the beginning of the discussion - Torah is instruction/no law
Commandments - Mitzvah- Mitzvot
Judgement (Ordinance) - Mishpat - Mishpatim
Statute - chukah/chuk - chukkot/Chukim
Law - instruction/ Torah - Torot
Typically in the West we say it is one or the other
Or even confuse the terms, and using them sparingly
Statute - chukah/chuk - chukkot/Chukim
Boundaries - we obey even when we do not understand
To keep Chukim requires faith
We talked about the prophetic significance of the Golden Calf - idolatry
In Chukkat, there are three examples of the Sanctification of the Name” to witnesses through the death of a righteous person:
The death of Miriam, Aaron and Moses
Today we will continue to talk about the difference it makes in the kingdom when a righteous persons decides to do what God commands
Meribah (mer’-i-bah) = Water of strife; chiding; contention. Strife
It is those who who have lived a life of service to the Kingdom who seem to have a death sentence on them
My beloved [ani dod] = but in it you find David - דוד - if you take the vowels out - regarding Songs of Salomon chapter 5 verse 10
Balak - Destroyer
The promise of Messiah as a follow up of the Red Heifer
Balak hired Balaam who compromised. His job was to curse Israel
But he could not because his eyes are opened by the HS

The roadmap
12 - Parts/ Points
First 6 about how we walk in ignorance
The second set of 6 about trusting the Lord as we walk with Him
To end with the Brit Hadashah
I will give you the 12 Parts and Points at closing - trail with me and see if you get the points right!
PRESENTATION
Numbers 25:10-30:1
(As related in the closing verses of last week’s Parshah, a plague had broken out among the people of Israel when they sinned with the daughters of Midian and worshiped the idol Peor;
when Zimri, a Simeonite prince, took a Midianite princess into his tent before the eyes of Moses and the people, Pinchas killed them both, stopping the plague.)
Numbers 25:1–6 NKJV
1 Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. 2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. 3 So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel. 4 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.” 5 So Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.” 6 And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
They began to commit harlotry with women of Moab
They worshiped other gods
They joined themselves to Baal -evil
The Lord was angered
He orders Moses to hang all the offenders before the Lord - out in the sun (although pagan practice - was used to expose)
The anger and fierce of the Lord requires action
They bring only one culprit - one of man of Israel and one Midianite woman
Everyone is mourning in front of the DOOR of The Tabernacle of Meeting - facing East
Picture of People of Israel at the Door of the temple
But something interesting happens when we are faced with evil: Some run. Some join in. Some say nothing. Some do nothing
When no one says anything or does anything that is when evil happens
When those who know what is righteous, pure an holy, and keep quite and do nothing is when evil happens
We give evil permission to flourish, becoming guilty of evil of some form because they fail to stand against evil
Motives vary: profit, safe face before people, not to intervene in somebody else’s business
Or there is some kind of evil in them that shines the same evil they see, not wanting to judge in order not to be judged
They were called to judge:
Numbers 25:5 NKJV
5 So Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.”
This is why a clear conscience is important- a life devoted to the Lord is important
This is important especially when we talk about leadership.
Point 1- Phineas
Picture of Pinchas/ Phinehas
But a man, Phineas of whom God said:
Numbers 25:7–10 NKJV
7 Now when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand; 8 and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body. So the plague was stopped among the children of Israel. 9 And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand. 10 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
I want to know why he did it
What caused this man to do it?
Even when he was not a judge
This awards him the covenant of Peace to him and his descendants
I want to know how to be in a covenant of Peace with You God
I want to know how this man got to this place to worship the Lord in this manner
How do we keep the Peace
Numbers 25:12–13 NKJV
12 Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace; 13 and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.’ ”
Moses, Aaron, everyone would have perished. He saved Israel from destruction.
'פינחס בן אלעזר הכהן וגו, “
Pinchas son of the High Priest Eleazar, etc.” although this was not news to anyone, the Torah had to repeat his genealogy so that the reader would not think that he could be hated for having taken the law into his own hands by killing Zimri.
On the contrary, by doing so he had succeeded in arresting the vengeance God was in the process of taking from the sinners.
Had he not done so, the people criticizing him might themselves have been killed by the plague God had sent.
Phineas did it because everyone else turned the blind eye
Phineas strikes a woman from a different tribe- this could mean war
His head was on the line
I am reminded of the Voice of the Martyrs publication of John Hus:
“On July 7, 1415, theologian and reformer John Hus was martyred. His accusers made it clear at his trial that Hus would not only die, but that they planned for him to die without hope. ‘We take from you the cup of redemption,’ the prosecutors solemnly intoned before sentencing him. But Hus replied, “I trust in the Lord God almighty… that He will not take away from me the cup of His redemption, but I firmly hope to drink from it today in His kingdom.”
Jan Hus said: “Seek the truth. Hear the truth. Learn the truth. Love the truth and Defend the truth until death.”
Picture of Pinchas/ Phinehas
Leadership is about doing what other people will not
Leadership is about facing the consequences on your own when every else won’t
Many like to have the position of authority, which brings organizational leadership
But Phineas demonstrates organic leadership.
Leadership is not about who calls the shots - or has control
Organic leadership is about doing what is righteous
What made this man a leader?
What motivated him?
What is different about this man?
He was willing to die
He was willing to atone - you will see later how his action causes God to reinter the covenant
Starting with God stopping the plague as a symbol of atonement
God blessed what Phineas did
When we walk with God we must do what He requires of us even when it is hard
Even if it costs our lives
People will be against you when you are at Peace with God - this is what is important
But what Phineas expressed did not come from him - himself
Numbers 25:11 NKJV
11 “Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal.
השיב את חמתי, “he turned away My wrath;”
this has been spelled out when the Torah wrote on Numbers 25:8 : ותעצר המגפה, “the plague stopped.”
This being so, no Israelite had any reason to hate Pinchas for having killed Zimri, as it had resulted in a blessing for the other Israelites.
The leader of the tribe of Shimon (Simeon) had certainly proved to be unworthy of that position.
by displaying among them his passion for Me Literally, “in his becoming impassioned with My passion among them.”
Phinehas was upset as much as the Lord Himself over the affront to the Lord caused by the people’s sin.
The verb qanaʾa in Arabic and Syriac means “become intensely red” and refers here to the visible effects of anger on the face.
God becomes “impassioned,” that is, aroused, when Israel flirts with other gods,
as in Exodus 20:5 and 34:14.
However, this phrase most likely means that Phinehas’s passion matched that of God’s because he alone, in distinction to Moses and the tribal heads, obeyed God’s command to kill Israel’s leaders (see Excursus 61).
Remember God says I am holy therefore be holy
Is it possible that He is also saying, I am jealous, therefore be jealous?
The jealousy of God is not like that of man
The point is: We must have the seal of Phineas
Point 2-God is also zealous
Numbers 25:11 NKJV
11 “Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal.

7861 קָנָא (qā·nā(ʾ)): v.; ≡ Str 7065; TWOT 2038—1. LN 88.160–88.166 (piel) be jealous, be envious, i.e., have a feeling of ill will ranging even to anger, based on a perceived advantage, or a desire for exclusivity in relationship
make jealous, make envious
2. be zealous, i.e., have a strong desire and deep devotion for an object
The same as:
Exodus 34:14 NKJV
14 (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),
7862 קַנָּא (qǎn·nā(ʾ)): adj.; ≡ Str 7067; TWOT 2038b—1. jealous, i.e., pertaining to having a feeling of ill will ranging even to anger, based on a perceived advantage, or a desire for exclusivity in relationship 2. Jealous, i.e., a title of God
Exodus 20:5 NKJV
5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
Deuteronomy 4:24 NKJV
24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
The point is: We must long for an exclusive relationship with God
Point 3- Seduction and the Song of God
Seduced - into harlotry (Numbers chapter 25, verses 1 and 2) - open door with women who are not supposed to be with you
Implied in:
Numbers 25:1–2 NKJV
1 Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. 2 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods.
It is expressly said in:
Numbers 25:14–18 NKJV
14 Now the name of the Israelite who was killed, who was killed with the Midianite woman, was Zimri the son of Salu, a leader of a father’s house among the Simeonites. 15 And the name of the Midianite woman who was killed was Cozbi the daughter of Zur; he was head of the people of a father’s house in Midian. 16 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 17 “Harass the Midianites, and attack them; 18 for they harassed you with their schemes by which they seduced you in the matter of Peor and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a leader of Midian, their sister, who was killed in the day of the plague because of Peor.”
Picture of Seduce -Cheat logos
5792 נָכַל (nā·ḵǎl): v.; ≡ Str 5230; —1. cheat, defraud, i.e., rob another of a rightful possession by guile or stealth (Mal 1:14+); 2. deceive, treat cunningly, i.e., cause another to accept a wrong belief (Nu 25:18+); 3. conspire, plot, i.e., to think about a course of action, and consult with others about the plans (Ge 37:18; Ps 105:25+)
Picture of CJB - Gullible -Seduced logos
Simple
be inexpert
Be gullible
Persuade
Bend down
from ignorance
Jeremiah 5:4 NKJV
4 Therefore I said, “Surely these are poor. They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord, The judgment of their God.
Hosea 4:6 NKJV
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
Because they do not know they can be led astray:
Picture of Seduce-led astray logos
John 8:32 NKJV
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
And must be sanctified by His truth
John 17:17 NKJV
17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Back to Torah Portion
Zimri = The Lord YHWH helped me - my protection
Song of the LORD; celebrated; vine. My psalm.
Salu - weihed- elevated, highly esteemed, unfortunate
Cozbi - the daughter of a leader Zur
Cozbi means “my falsehood”
Cozbi (coz’-bi) = Lying; deceiver; deception; deceitful.
Zur - means: the house of the rock, a rock, stone.
To besiege (surround -a place, with armed forces in order to capture it or force)
Picture of Gathering of People in front of church
Just like Israel
Question Picture
Is it possible that people are complacent and do nothing against evil because we have been seduced with falsehood in the house of the rock, and rejoice in ignorance?
Instead sing the Song of God, as the Psalm says it:
Psalm 32:6–11 NKJV
6 For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You In a time when You may be found; Surely in a flood of great waters They shall not come near him. 7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. 9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you. 10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. 11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
The point is: We must fight seduction with the Songs of God -by knowing the truth
4- Genealogy -
Picture of Genealogy
Then the Torah portion goes on to explain the genealogy of Israel through the first born
Example:
Numbers 26:5 NKJV
5 Reuben was the firstborn of Israel. The children of Reuben were: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
Numbers 26:12 NKJV
12 The sons of Simeon according to their families were: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;
Not all Korach children die
Numbers 26:11 NKJV
11 Nevertheless the children of Korah did not die.
Emphasis on the sons
the Daughters are not mentioned until we get to Num- 26- 33 -
Numbers 26:33 NKJV
33 Now Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
The contrast is the the daughters of Moab seduced Israel into harlotry
The daughters of Menasseh are mentioned again in
Numbers 27:1–3 NKJV
1 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. 2 And they stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the leaders and all the congregation, by the doorway of the tabernacle of meeting, saying: 3 “Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the Lord, in company with Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.
The point is: We must pass down the truth of the Gospel
Women were not allowed to have an inheritance because if was given to the first male, but God
Picture to restore women
5- Women
Restoration Num - 27 - 5-11
Numbers 27:5–11 NKJV
5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord. 6 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 7 “The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among their father’s brothers, and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them. 8 And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter. 9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers. 10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers. 11 And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the relative closest to him in his family, and he shall possess it.’ ” And it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
Is it true that Messiah restored women? Y
Is it true this also happened in the OT? Y
My point in here is We must treat our sisters and wives with the same respect and care as that of our brothers
6- Appointment of Leader -
With the death of most everyone who came out of Egypt there was a need of a new count/ census
Numbers 26:64–65 NKJV
64 But among these there was not a man of those who were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Sinai. 65 For the Lord had said of them, “They shall surely die in the wilderness.” So there was not left a man of them, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
Therefore
There was a need for a new leader
Numbers 27:14–20 NKJV
14 For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.) 15 Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying: 16 “Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation, 17 who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd.” 18 And the Lord said to Moses: “Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him; 19 set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and inaugurate him in their sight. 20 And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
Numbers 27:23 NKJV
23 And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.
Picture of laying of hands
He appointed Joshua by the laying of hands
He appointed someone who had a different spirit
He appointed someone who was tried and tested - Joshua served Moses for at least 40 years
The point is: God is the one who appoints and we must be ok with that
How to keep from seduction:
7- Keep the Covenant - at the appointed time
Numbers 28:1–2 NKJV
1 Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time.’
Modeim - Sabbath
Back to the beginning with Israel again
Genesis 1:14–16 NKJV
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
This is why a clear conscience is important- a life devoted to the Lord is important
When we walk with God we must do what He requires of us even when it is hard
Even if it costs our lives
People will be against you, especially when keeping Shabbat
But when you are at Peace with God - you do what is important to Him
Unless you want to compromise for your own profit
My point in here is: God says we keep Shabbat, I must do it at His appointed time
8- Constant Offerings:
When? Always/ Yes
At the appointed times/ Yes
Daily
Numbers 28:3–4 NKJV
3 “And you shall say to them, ‘This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer to the Lord: two male lambs in their first year without blemish, day by day, as a regular burnt offering. 4 The one lamb you shall offer in the morning, the other lamb you shall offer in the evening,
Just like in Genesis/ in the beginning - shining light - the morning and even in the dark - the evening
Weekly
Numbers 28:9–10 NKJV
9 ‘And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering— 10 this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.
This we do by faith
To enter into His rest
Which is His Shalom - peace
We keep the Covenant of Peace
Monthly
Numbers 28:11 NKJV
11 ‘At the beginnings of your months you shall present a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish;
Every new moon is monthly
The point in here is that You do what He says you must do, the way He prescribed it -no other way
Yearly
9- Keep the Feasts
Pictures of the Feasts
Passover
Numbers 28:16 NKJV
16 ‘On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the Lord.
Unleavened Bread
Numbers 28:17 NKJV
17 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast; unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days.
First Fruits
Numbers 28:26 NKJV
26 ‘Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.
Feast of Weeks - Shavout
Numbers 28:26 NKJV
26 ‘Also on the day of the firstfruits, when you bring a new grain offering to the Lord at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.
Rosh Hashanah/ Trumpets
Numbers 29:1–2 NKJV
1 ‘And in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work. For you it is a day of blowing the trumpets. 2 You shall offer a burnt offering as a sweet aroma to the Lord: one young bull, one ram, and seven lambs in their first year, without blemish.
Yom Kippur/ Atonement
Numbers 29:7 NKJV
7 ‘On the tenth day of this seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall afflict your souls; you shall not do any work.
Tabernacles- Sukkot
Numbers 29:12 NKJV
12 ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.
The point here is: We keep the Feasts because they are a sweet aroma to the Lord
Ezekiel 45:17 NKJV
17 Then it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, grain offerings, and drink offerings, at the feasts, the New Moons, the Sabbaths, and at all the appointed seasons of the house of Israel. He shall prepare the sin offering, the grain offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make atonement for the house of Israel.”
Ezekiel 46:3–5 NKJV
3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the entrance to this gateway before the Lord on the Sabbaths and the New Moons. 4 The burnt offering that the prince offers to the Lord on the Sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish; 5 and the grain offering shall be one ephah for a ram, and the grain offering for the lambs, as much as he wants to give, as well as a hin of oil with every ephah.
10-Die for others -
70 Bulls an offering for the Nations
Picture of 70 Nations and Bulls
To Die for the Nations
70 Nations in Genesis 10
Descendants from Noah
They survived
One Righteous Man’s Action
Genesis 10:32 NKJV
32 These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.
Shem = 26 children
Ham = 30 children
Japheth = 14 children
Total = 70
70 Offerings for 70 Nations
70 Bull in Numbers 29
Descendants from Israel
They survived
One Righteous Man’s Action
Numbers 29: 13, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32
1 Day = 13
2 Day = 12
3 Day = 11
4 Day = 10
5 Day = 9
6 Day = 8
7 Day = 7
______________
Total = 70
Numbers 29:40 NKJV
40 So Moses told the children of Israel everything, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
The point is will you sacrifice for others?
11- Hang on to the Promise to Israel
Numbers 25:10–13 NKJV
10 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 11 “Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal. 12 Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace; 13 and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.’ ”
This is why a clear conscience is important- a life devoted to the Lord is important
Many cannot keep the covenant, but God can
He appoints the one who will die for Him
Who would have the zeal for Him
The choice of one man - type and a shadow of Yeshua
The point here is, We cannot keep the covenant, we need God to trust in Yeshua’s covenant to find the strength
You will see more at closing
12- God will be jealous in the end times -
Ezekiel 39:25 NKJV
25 “Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name—
Zechariah 1:14 NKJV
14 So the angel who spoke with me said to me, “Proclaim, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts: “I am zealous for Jerusalem And for Zion with great zeal.
Zechariah 8:2 NKJV
2 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; With great fervor I am zealous for her.’
The point in here is God will not change and will be jealous

5- We must treat our sisters and wives with the same respect and care as that of our brothers
6- God is the one who appoints, and we must be ok with that
7- God says we keep Shabbat, I must do it at His appointed time
8- You do what He says you must do, the way He prescribed it -no other way
9- We keep the Feasts because they are a sweet aroma to the Lord
10- The point is will you sacrifice for others?
11 - We cannot keep the covenant, we need God to trust in Yeshua’s covenant to find the strength
12 - God will not change and will be jealous
The zeal of God is Jealousy
We need to be Jealous for God
But we cannot, unless we are corrected
God did not decide to just kill the people in the wilderness
They needed correction
I do not know about you, but I need to correction
We need to bring correction
Correction has a cost: the people who died, keeping the feasts, the bulls
There is Personal sin, we need to deal with it first
Matthew 18:15 NKJV
15 “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.
You do not take it to the world
You address the person
But with public - General sin -we need to address it, just like Phineas
Yeshua also demonstrates His zeal
John 2:13–25 NKJV
13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!” 17 Then His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up.” 18 So the Jews answered and said to Him, “What sign do You show to us, since You do these things?” 19 Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.” 20 Then the Jews said, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?” 21 But He was speaking of the temple of His body. 22 Therefore, when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said. 23 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did. 24 But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, 25 and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.
Just like Yeshua,
Call it out - willing to be whistleblower
Do not keep quite
Step up
Help others turn back to the Lord for our land
2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
The Song of God
Psalm 30:1–5 NKJV
1 I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, And have not let my foes rejoice over me. 2 O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. 3 O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. 4 Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. 5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.
Psalm 34:11–18 NKJV
11 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. 12 Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? 13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. 14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. 15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. 16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
Psalm 33 NKJV
1 Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. 2 Praise the Lord with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. 4 For the word of the Lord is right, And all His work is done in truth. 5 He loves righteousness and justice; The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. 6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. 7 He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap; He lays up the deep in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him. 9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. 10 The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. 11 The counsel of the Lord stands forever, The plans of His heart to all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. 13 The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. 14 From the place of His dwelling He looks On all the inhabitants of the earth; 15 He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. 16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. 17 A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. 18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, 19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. 20 Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. 21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. 22 Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, Just as we hope in You.
Keep the Peace of the Lord
