How Should We Pray? Matthew 6:9-15 1. Relationship – Our Father.                               Matt 6:9    a. New Father. The new birth makes God our Father.     b. New Freedom.  Access to God’s throne of grace.  c. New Family.  Other believers are brothers and sisters. 2. Reverence – Respecting our Father.     Matt 6:9-10      a. Sanctify God’s name. Our Heavenly Father is holy.   b. Seek God’s kingdom. The only hope for this world is          Christ’s return to establish His righteous kingdom.   c. Submit to God’s will. Our Father knows what’s best. 3. Requests – Our Father’s Provision.            Matt 6:11    a. Our Father wants us to trust Him. He is able to help us.  b. Our Father wants us to pray for our brother’s needs also.  c. Our Father is concerned about us. 4. Reconciliation – Repairing Relationships  Mat 6:12    a. Our Father’s forgiveness. He will forgive & cleanse us.  b. Our brother’s forgiveness. All of us hurt others and need      to put it right. Our Father wants His children to get along. 5.
