How so very true this is:
there is no road block or obstacle that can permanently stop or derail a mind that is fully persuaded.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
To truly worship God is to truly know God.
How can we worship a God that we neither know or commit to.

Worship
Worship is the awed response to the saving acts and praiseworthy character of God
God is the only one worthy of such an act or deserving of our worship.
God being our creator and the creator of all things
the book of Acts gives a bit of understanding.
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
this encompasses all of our being.
God is our source of redemption and deliverance. He is our all in all.

in Lou of this, we must understand that true worship is not as a surface relationship but is an all encompassing commitment to a relationship with our creator
In the old testament, the Jewish people worshipped God through their obedience and by altars they built.
One of the first altars was the one Noe built...
the first thing after the ark landed on dry ground...Noe built an altar unto God.
Noe did this to honor and worship the mighty hand of God
this was in thanksgiving for Gods deliverance,grace and mercy
Abrahams ALTAR:
• After Abraham had arrived at Moreh and after God had reappeared to him, he built an altar (12:7). This was the first altar that Abraham built. In order to live by faith, we must first of all build an altar.
In the Bible an altar means that we have commited our all for God and serve only him.
these altars where their establishment of Gods preeminence in their lives:
By giving God preeminence we are giving God first and foremost priority and superiority in our lives.
We are worshipping God and offering thanksgiving for his mighty hand of deliverance from the grip of sin.
Building an altar means that we are offering everything we are and have to God. We are placing all that we are and all that we have on the altar.
Full surrender and worship to God is putting all that you are and all that you have on the altar for him.”
This is real fellowship and real worship.
this is true worship and consecration to our God
when we consecrate to God we mean:
dedication to a sacred purpose or plan
especially:
to devote irrevocably to the worship of God by a solemn ceremony
to devote to a purpose with or as if with deep solemnity or dedication.
Lets take a look at some words closely related to worship:
The latreúō (“serve”)/latreía (“service”) this word-group refers to the offering of sacrifice or service with no thought of reward. Generally this term refers to specific cultic preparations.
deut chapter 10, however, roots this service in a deep commitment of the heart.
12 “And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
13 and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
We see that God gives Israel the things he requires of them :
Fear the Lord your God:
this indicating respect and reverence.
To walk in all his ways:
this signifying stedfastness and loyalty
To love him:
signifying our complete devotion
Serve the Lord with all your:
heart
Soul
with every things that we are.
To keep the commandments of the Lord and his statutes:
signifying:
obedience to what the Lord has commanded:
this would be both in ritual rights as well as commitment and dedication in their daily lives.

All the laws and requirements
basically with our entire being....
The OT view reflects the holistic nature of service and sacrifice to Yahweh.
The lack of this commitment in later cultic worship was the major complaint of some of the prophets (esp Hosea and Jeremiah).
In its best sense, service to Yahweh has a cultic and ethical expression that involves the whole of the worshiper’s life.
The OT uses this word in reference to specific acts of service:
the service of prayer and fasting, the service of work, and the specific service ministries of the temple priests (Nu. 16:9; Josh. 22:27).
The NT emphasizes the demand from God for service in a totally committed way.
We see that the apostle Paul insisted on the need of dedication of one’s whole life,
which includes both the inward motivational aspect and the outward expression of cultic devotion (Rom. 12:1f.). True service and worship of the same must include both.
this is what Paul meant in the book of Romans when he wrote:
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
the word: Cult, which shares an origin with culture and cultivate, comes from the Latin cultus, a noun with meanings ranging from "tilling, cultivation" to "training or education" to "adoration."
However; In English, cult has evolved a number of meanings following a diverse path. The earliest known uses of the word, recorded in the 17th century, broadly denoted "worship.
So we see, in light of this study, that worship, having a tight resemblance to cult…actually means a fully commited and dedicated walk with our God.
to the very act of worship:
involving the fullness of who we are and what we are.
giving fully, all the glory and honor to the only one that deserves this kind of praise and worship.....
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
there is no higher praise and worship that we can give to God than that of a fully commited and surrendered life.
This is how we worship God....this is true worship!
when our worship is shown through our entire life similarly to James 2...
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
similarly showing our worship to God by our life style we live.
worship is: the activity of showing love and devotion to a deity; also involves the necessary knowledge concerning beliefs and practice to be able to participate in worship.
For us to show the activity of showing love and devotion to God we must:
have knowledge of God... in that:
being in the purpose and will of God.
knowing our God.
The question then becomes?
why don’t all people worship God??
this can happen largely due to a lack of knowledge or desire to even know God in this way.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.
The word of God gives us the needed understand of what it is to worship him and how we should go about that.
how many people do we know that don’t really have a clue to what it is to truly worship God.
many time, peoples whole understanding of God is largely, misaligned and removed from the scriptures
several things come into play when we talk about a life not fully commited to God.
Shame
Guilt
the sense of Unworthiness
Obligations: or cares of this life
the pleasures of sin.
All these things are the results of a lack of understanding and a desire for the things of this life rather than the things of God.
from the very beginning Adam and Eve, upon sinning against God, began hiding themselves from God.
According to the word of God, we see that Christ came for the specific purpose of setting us free from:
34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
When we worship God…we don’t do it because we are somehow worthy enough to do so.
Our worship is because he is worthy

The very outcome of our voyage we are on, is not every wind that blows but rather, the very way we set our sails.
The very direction and mission of our Souls efforts
Worship of God is in all respects:
Praise, Adoration and reverence of God, both in public and in private.
We see that the word “Worship” has a much deeper meaning that just the mere act of raising our hands at church, the giving of our money or even the simple act of the words that come out of our mouth.
while these are all good, necessary and within themselves, a show of worship, we see a deeper meaning
True worship is:
The creation of the alters in our life
a complete and sincere commitment that a lifetime can offer.
The humble obedience to the purpose and goal of God
The unwavering Love and dedication to his will.
Our worship of God must extend beyond the church.....if it doesn’t, what profit does it have to us or God
In The Art of War, Sun Tzu says:
In order to set the stage for victory, you need to manage both your resources and your forces wisely. Preparation matters: Every battle is won before it is ever fought.
General Yang Su commanded during the Sui Dynasty (558 to 617 C.E.). He was known for his decisive leadership and swift executions of those who disobeyed his command. In preparation for battle, Yang would seek out troublemakers or those who’d erred for execution. This number could be as low as 12 men or as high as 100.
When it was time to engage in combat, he would send out hundreds of men to attack the enemy. If they failed, he would execute them and send another group. If they failed, the process was repeated. Everyone under his command understood the stakes of failure, and as a result, they always fought hard and were often successful in overtaking their opponents.
while this story is a harsh example of failure and victory....the point is so very important.
King David had this type of commitment in mind when he slew the giant Goliath.
29 And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?
our effort, is significantly changed when we understand the importance of what the stakes are.....
in this fight…there is no second place.
it is to the death…to either win or lose.
but in this, God has given us a promise.....
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
when our whole life is a reflection of our worship and commitment to God, then and only then, can we be assured of victory
