Daniel Chapter 3
1. The Image was 90 feet tall and 9 feet wide. How did it not fall down? Imagine a person 10 feet tall but only 1 foot wide! That would be like a stick!
a. The dimensions of the image would be fitting for an obelisk, for it was 90 feet high (about the height of a present-day eight-story building) and only 9 feet wide.[1]
b. Archeologists have uncovered a large square made of brick some six miles southeast of Babylon, which may have been the base for this image. Since this base is in the center of a wide plain, the image’s height would have been impressive[2]
2. All the officials listed in KJV were 8 classes of officials.
a. The satraps were chief representatives of the king, the prefects were military commanders, and the governors were civil administrators. The advisers were counselors to those in governmental authority. The treasurers administered the funds of the kingdom, the judges were administrators of the law, and the magistrates passed judgment in keeping with the law. The other provincial officials were probably subordinates of the satraps. This list of officers probably included all who served in any official capacity under [3]
b. Jeremiah 51:59 tells of a time when the last king of Judah was summoned to Babylon this may have been the same time! So kings of nations that were under the rule of Babylon were also a part of this.

59 The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.
3. What was this image?
a. the Bible only says image it may have been an obelisk or it may have been human form nobody knows that isn’t really important.
4. Why did Nebuchadnezzar demand them all to bow to this image?
a. to demand complete and unified rule of Babylon upon all nations
b. to cause everyone to recognize Nebuchadnezzar as supreme ruler and supreme religious leader as well
5. the Chaldeans accused the three Hebrew children why?
a. Why does a child become a “tattle tale”
b. They were with Daniel in the earlier chapter when Daniel needed to pray to find the meaning of the Kings dream
c. This was in hopes of weakening Daniel?
6. Where was Daniel?
