Psalm 37:5–9 (KJV)

5    Commit thy way unto the Lord; Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, And thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8    Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off: But those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Wait On God

Psalm 37:7KJV

Wait On God Faith, Trust Prayer, Peace

They that wait upon the Lord; Boy! It’s sure hard to wait sometimes. We live in a society that is all super fast, super charged cars, super computers, even super markets with super high prices sometimes! When you go to Wal-Mart you don’t even have to stand and wait you can use one of their check-out counters where you can check yourself out instead of waiting! “Why wait?”

7Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Waiting upon the Lord isn’t just waiting for a prayer to be

answered (that is part of it) it isn’t just waiting for an answer from Him, (that is also a part) but it is more than that waiting patiently not allowing your life to be brought down by the world but keeping your thoughts upon God!

Psalm 37:5–8 (KJV)

5    Commit thy way unto the Lord; Trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, And thy judgment as the noonday. 7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

WAITING ON GOD

THE GIVER’S BIG HANDS

A young boy went to the local store with his mother. The shop owner, a kindly man, passed him a large jar of suckers and invited him to help himself to a handful. Uncharacteristically, the boy held back. So the shop owner pulled out a handful for him.

When outside, the boy’s mother asked why he had suddenly been so shy and wouldn’t take a handful of suckers when offered.

The boy replied, "Because his hand is much bigger than mine!"

Ephesians 3:20–21 (KJV)

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

31  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings as eagles; They shall run, and not be weary; And they shall walk, and not faint.

Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

10  Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

       Lamentations 3:26 (KJV)

26  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
