At one time the KJV was a good translation and easily understood. But today the KJV has archaic words which either have a different meaning or an unknown meaning. Unless someone is raised in Shakespeare English or a KJV church.

Following are some examples from the N.T. with KJV compare to 3 other popular translations today.

Hebrew 1:1 & 12 WHAT ARE SUNDRY TIMES? AREN'T DIVERS MANNERS THE BEHAVIOR OF SWIMMERS?

KJV 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets

Hebrew 2:2 & 4

KJV  2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

ESV  2 For since ?the message declared by angels proved to be reliable, and ?every transgression or disobedience received a just ?retribution,
