“There is one safe and happy place, and that is in the will of God.”
David Livingstone
Romans 12:2–3 KJV 1900
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
conform
i.e. conform to the same pattern (fig.):—conform to, fashion self according to.
Transform:
fig.“metamorphose”):—change,
What is the difference between conforming and being transformed?
Conform is to be similar or identical to.
It means to be in agreement or harmony with.
Transform is to change the outward form or appearance as well as a change in character or condition.
The word conform can mean to pattern after, to be shaped by or to be pressed into a mold. When something is pressed into a mold it takes on the shape or look of whatever the mold is.
By comparison the word transform comes from the Greek word metamorphoo, where we get the word metamorphosis from. This word in the Greek is actually a combination of two words, meta and morphoo.
Meta – means change after being with.
Luke 6:43–45 KJV 1900
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Romans 12:9–10 KJV 1900
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. 10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
dissimulation
undissembled, i.e. sincere:—without dissimulation (hypocrisy), unfeigned.
abhor: detest utterly.
