This is the power of the gospel
All people gathered together in Faith
This is God’s work through Christ (vs 16)
Paul therefore takes special interest in this church
He prays diligently for this special church
Paul is serving to see this type of church spread throughout the world
A Church that needs established
A Church that needs established
Paul prays for an opportunity to join with this church
He desires this to be God’s will in his life and ministry
Paul lives and dies by the will of God

Paul has an apostolic gift to impart to them
This gift will establish them as a church that fulfills the commission of God
Paul’s gift is the gospel implications laid out in his letter of Romans for these believers
A Church that produces fruit

Paul desires to join in mutual faith
The fruit of mutual edification in Christ
Paul wants to encourage them and be encouraged in the work of God to reach the world with the gospel of Christ
Paul desires to have fruit in Rome and beyond
This has been Paul’s calling as an apostle to the gentiles
He wants to use Rome as a launching pad to reach Spain with the gospel
