Our Community’s Greatest Need

Proverbs 29:18—Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Intro:  June 24th 1994, shortly after 2:00 pm, call sign Czar 52 carring the ship’s captain, Col. Bud Holland, along with Col. McGeehan, Col. Wolf and Col. Huston crashed killing all on board.  Cause of Crash:  Holland broke the law!

 

1.    Humanity’s Condition - Perishing

Perish = make naked; to uncover; to cast off restraint

Note – To perish means these people are vulnerable to the consequences of breaking the law!

Illustration – Like the outcome of the pilot who broke the law, many people’s lives are broken and hurting because of sin.

2.    Heaven’s Concern – Keep the law = happiness

Keepethto attend to, to take heed to, to regard

Happy—to be blessed.  To have Joy!

3.    Heaven’ Cure – Vision

Vision—Revealed Word of God

1 Samuel 3:1—And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision.
