“I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John14:1-6
Introduction: The 6th of the 7 I AM’s of Jesus
- This is the Most Controversial, Most Exclusive
Pluralistic society. I’m okay, UR okay - Historical Jesus
a. A teacher, a Rabbi Wasn’t divine until dove came down, 2nd Century
b. Thought that the world was going to end soon Follower of John the Baptist- Some mocked him, some believed, and others questioned Him.
CONTEXT: Jn. 13, Washing of the feet, Judas, Peter, the Disciples are probably feeling a little down. Followed him for 3 yrs and now they can’t go with him. How would you feel.
I. WHERE AM I GOING? THE WAY
EVER BEEN LOST?-Directions/ EASIER WAY-He is the way. EINSTEIN
A. He comforts them Jn. 14:1, not a pat on back, but real solution.
B. THE NARROW WAY- Mt 7:13-14, Acts 4:12,
C. The Holy Way- Isaiah 35:8-10
D. A direction-A road, path, or highway affording passage from one place to another. Is 35:10- Reach ultimate destination.
E. A Behavior-An individual or personal manner of behaving, acting, or doing: JOHN 14:6: Jesus means both of these definitions.
WHERE? HEAVEN
1. A peaceful, prepared, promised, preferred, private and permanent place. v. 2-a dwelling place, abide
EXCLUSIVE: The article “THE” only

YOUR FUTURE IS ASSURED IN JESUS CHRIST. HE IS THE WAY.
JESUS’S WAY IS NOT A RECIPE IT IS A RELATIONSHIP!
II. WHY AM I HERE? I AM THE TRUTH John 18:38- What is truth?-
A. Life is a series of ups and downs. Puzzles
B. Disciples-3 yrs all for nothing?
TRUTH is ABSOLUTE

The truth does not vary because men forget or ignore or mock it.
John 16:33- I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
1 Peter 3:15- But do this with gentleness and respect,
III. WHO AM I? I AM THE LIFE-
1 John 5:12- He who has the Son has life;
Who you are has everything to do with who He is! Jesus is our identity.
Jesus is Life because he is Son of Man, because He is the Author of Life, and because
John 1:3-4-- …all things were made…In him was life, and life was the light of men.
I AM recap… That’s what he does and is for us….or he should be!
ACTS 17:25 "He himself gives all men LIFE and breath"
JOHN10:10 I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full"
CONCLUSION:
FIND YOUR WAY- I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work
KNOW THE TRUTH-NAPOLEON—I If we don’t know Jesus we cannot have the life.
