12 Spiritual Stones we must relay to our spouse, to our children, and to all mankind:

1. Christ: is the Chief Cornerstone, therefore we must relate the biblical truths of who Christ is, was, and will forever be. Matthew 7:24; Ephesians 2:20.

2. Salvation: we must share our salvation experience with others, especially our family. Acts 4:12; Luke 2:30; Jude 1:3 Do you know the Salvation story of your wife, your children, your church leaders, your friends? Woe to us if we do not! We can talk about the weather, our week, and everything else under the sun, but we do not make an effort to speak of the things of God.

3. Sanctification: The ongoing process of being set apart for God’s righteous service. Romans 6:19-22; 1 Thessalonians 4:4; 1 Corinthians 1:30 Why are we are afraid to share our sanctification process with each other?

4. Scriptures: From OT to NT we are commanded to relate the Holy Word of God to all. It is NOT ONLY the pastors role to share the Scriptures! Listen to these passages.

Genesis 18:19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him."

Deuteronomy 4:9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

________________________________________

Deuteronomy 6:7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

________________________________________

Deuteronomy 11:19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

________________________________________

Psalm 78:4 We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praise worthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done.

________________________________________

Proverbs 4:4 he taught me and said, "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live.

________________________________________

Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.

________________________________________

Ephesians 6:3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."

________________________________________

Colossians 3:21 Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.

________________________________________2 Timothy 3:15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

5. Covenants: just as the Ark of the Covenant went before the people we must share the promises of God’s Word with our families and our friends in way that they fully understand the promises of God’s Word.. The bible is full of covenants between God and his people, but how can we relate them? I want you to think on this: there are a few things that typically happen when we see covenants take place in the Bible there are obviously parities involved, there is a reason for the covenant, there is normally a sacrifice, a promise or oath, a sign or a witness, and a meal, an altar, or a name change. I challenge you to study out the covenants found in God's Word and the importance of each one.

6. Sacred Days: Leviticus 23 reveals the appointed days of the Lord to the Israelites and by knowing and understanding them they open up the Scriptures. What are some NT sacred days? Lord’s Supper, Baptism, Salvation,

a day of rest, etc... These days should be the highlight of our Christian walk, they should be the pinnacle of our lives, yet we solemnly sit in the pew each week and let the importance of these Sacred days slip by.

7. Callings: Each one of us have been called at some point in our lives to step out in faith and follow God. God, Spouse, Family, Ministries is the biblical order of callings. Get them in order or else.

8. Crossing Over’s: We must share our worries, our spiritual preparations, and how God assisted us in our personal crossing over’s. When God calls you to step out in faith there is often an seemingly insurmountable task before you. Share how God has assisted you in crossing over.

9. Corporate Worship: worship together with other believers is a vital aspect of our spiritual walk. We have all been to a huge gathering of believers to sing, hear God's Word, and praise Him only wishing that our service at home could be similar. My questions for you are did the atmosphere really change your heart, did the extra people really help you worship? I would say not! Our service order, our singing, our small group or large group will not normally change the heart of the worshiper, but God can! You prepare your heart for worship, you sing with all your voice, you pray without holding back, and I know God will known.

10. Stories of Redemption: Are different for me that our salvation experience, they are different than our crossing over’s, etc…These are the true stories of our spiritual walk with God. These are our battle’s with temptation and God’s assistance in them, they are God working in our lives to give us the strength to overcome our greatest battles, these stories of redemption should be specific stories of God redeeming us from the bondage of sin, from the guilt, and blessed stories of God redeeming us.

11. Coming Battles: Men our role as soldiers for Christ is to prepare ourselves for battle. We must ready ourselves for the battles ahead and charge forward with all confidence that God has Victory already. Men our role as Christians is to equip one another for battle, to hone each other skills in preparation for the week. Men as fathers we are to ready our sons to receive the sword and train our sons to use it. Finally men we are to lead our families into victory for Christ’s sake! We are guide ourselves in such a way that we know when to charge ahead into battle, that we have the discernment to stand firm and then stand our ground, and we also must have the spiritual judgment to know when to flee. Women your role is similar to the men in preparation for yourselves; you must first prepare yourself before you can assist anyone else in battle.

12. Living Stones: 1 Peter 2:4 4As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— 5you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Every Christian should be a Living Memorial Stone! That our children, our spouse, our co-workers would look at us and say, "What is it about that man?' What is it about the women?, Who is that God they serve?" Just as the Children in our passage would ask what is the reason for the memorial stones? Those around us should ask similar questions about us...LIVING MEMORIAL STONES!
