Ezekiel 38: God's Defense of Israel - 7 Oracles, part 9; Babel vs. Babylon?

God is our refuge and strength. A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear. What? Then shall we say to these things of God is for us, who is against us? The Eternal God is a dwelling place and underneath are the Everlasting Arms. Only father, we thank you for this time of study of time to focus on your word, the time in, which you change and transform Us by the very nature of Truth to buying truth, manifest in your word, made available to us. And in this time of instruction by God, the Holy Spirit, we pray that each find ourselves administered to and directed in our understanding of the things of your kingdom of your Divine Viewpoint. Even puts things like understanding, how to do proper hermeneutics and how to interpret scripture correctly, these things we pray you would get this, we might find ourselves stronger and more used by you we praise you and we thank you and precious name. So we've been making her way through a journey through Ezekiel and we did a lot of Preparatory work in chapters 33, through 37, primarily chapters 36 and 37 understanding this idea of a valley of dry bones and is drawn together which is a picture of Israel and then a Binding Together of two sticks, which is a picture of Judah and Israel being restored into a single entity. Go through all this, there's a idea that God is going to provide a new Breath of Life and you Awakening to the nation Israel. Now, every religious person out there with an agenda has wanted to glom onto these prophecies and use them for their own purposes, because it is so easy to twist and make this Sound like something, but you're doing and if you're with me, were part of those were coming together and God is rising us up and making us into a new entity and you can just hear the preachers take you to the format and so they have. And we also have the great Distortion and has come out of those people who have been in the mist of a replacement theology situation, and replacement theology, everything in the Old Testament, that is about Israel. They take a big eraser and they wipe it out and they say about Israel. That's about the church surprised. It's about you. And me when God says, he doesn't mean Israel, he means us the church. But when he says, Doesn't mean Israel. He means us the church. There are no chosen. People that are twos. It's us the church. Going through baby raced Israel, from all of the history. All of Prophecy MMA, take the ideas and concepts of the New Testament. Where should I actually feel? We might stay engorged with Concepts and true that comes from the Old Testament. It may take these without that engorgement of Old Testament. Truth, in a westernized perspective often times play tonight. That means the teachings of Plato and Aristotle. Another Greek philosophers or forced back into the text to me, take that he was out to interpret the Old Testament and they come up with this idea that the prophecies were all to be taken.

That means allegorically. So it means it doesn't say, it doesn't mean what it says. It actually means something spiritual. And the good news about the spiritual is in a few, have a teacher, who is spiritual enough? They have the wisdom from God. They have been given specific Insight. They can tell you how to interpret it, what it means. They will tell you, this is a type of this. This is a spiritual picture of that. It says blah, blah, blah blah, blah. Give you an example. Really what it means MMA will tell you what I really need from their perspective. Unfortunately this is seen in the prophetic text and specific throughout the calvinistic movement the movement of the reformers. And so they early on opted to go with the Catholic church that they are trying to reform and get out. And yet, you use that same approach to theology that rejects the Israel, background and roots and makes everything about the church itself, the latest Catholic church. So they have their own version of the Catholic thing which is to reject. The Israel system. So when dr. Ayersman came along and dr. Fruits and bomb came along and they started writing all the work from a Jewish perspective of people who look at the rabbinic work and looked at what was being written by the rabbis at the time of Christ, which we all have to go back and start to feel back in. And so we have a ninth category of the Systematic Theology. Do we call Israel, Olma, G? And it's significant and thinking, if you have a copy of Arnold poop to Mom's book is real ology, it's actually the compact version of his PhD dissertation which I can't remember what it was like, 11:00 pages in the book published. You know I made more concise is only like nine hundred and seventy Pages or something like that. So we got a bunch of material out of their butt from that really start to go through and see. And then basically, he's gone into each of the systems of theology. The major major eight categories of Theology and he has shown how overlooking Israel what has happened. He's able to show what should be seen in each of those categories. So it was a wonderful correction a timely correction. For those of us who might suspect that maybe we're in the final days before the Rapture could happen. Any Time you done your rapture practice this morning, right? Go outside. Look up and jump them. See if you keep going earlier, works that way. But some people do that.

So anyways, he's made some very good Corrections, what it's done as it's restored, the great shift into Distortion and a lack of understanding comes about that. I think I mentioned last week, I was dialoguing with a guy on the internet and he's trying to say that there is nothing about the death and resurrection of Christ in the gospel that's mentioned that you don't have to believe in the death of the Resurrection. You simply have to believe in Christ Jesus. And I said, excuse me, but I have to try to explain this to you. You're talking about your shoe on meshiaak, it's a Jewish term, it's not a western civilization turn. It isn't about that guy with the first name. Jesus, last name. Christ, that's not what's being talked about. It talked about the prophesied Messiah, who is coming to take away the sins of the whole world. He is going to suffer his going to die, is going to be resurrected reference, Isaiah 53, but we find some people just have blinders on there. So completely unwilling to see things from a actual contextual perspective. And I I was explaining to him, you're missing what, we call the eye, cigar gigs, what is your missing out on the historic background? So you have turned the word Christ into something that doesn't exist. It's actually a made-up word that just goes through it. It's a made-up word, but but machine Iraq is actually a prophesied word. Goes all the way back, and it's beginning to Genesis chapter 3. We have expansion on it after expansion on it after expansion on it, explaining and filling in the Lucid dating. Who, and what the work of this person is, who's going to come and atone for the sins of the whole world is. So I was trying to explain to him. This idea that if you understand meshiaak, it means the atone mean one, the one who will atone the one who is that deliver, not just to deliver an Israel, which is what all the Israelis were looking for, at the time of Christ, but the one who is going to deliver the whole world from sin, from the sin, cursed from the individual responsibility for sin, And he came and he did that. So I'm explaining to him, if you don't get that, you're just going to be erased. All of that Old Testament information and pretend like you know what that means and then you can say something like the death of the Resurrection were not part of the Gospel when Paul says that the gospel is and he says Christ Jesus. Just saying if you just said the gospel, he is believing in Christ. Jesus. That right there. If you understand it properly, is saying that we have a phone meant that must be understood. Otherwise he would just call him Jesus. If he's leaving out the whole atonement thing, you would leave out the kristof's in the Greek or the mushy are in the Hebrew. So that is so important to understand. And so I was explaining to him that his version was actually. I suggest eating or putting foreign Concepts on the texts that are alienated by the text itself and he turns around says, no, I'm not eating. You are, you're putting all the stuff in there. That doesn't belong there and I was able to carry on the conversation from there. And sometimes just easier just to walk away from someone who is a hard-hearted and stiff-necked and you can't really help them so much with their thinking errors when they are committed to them. The beautiful thing about him a teachable congregation is that I can come in here and pour out the water and in many instances. And I don't always get the same affect. My job is in some ways to turn a blind eye. I'm not crying. To see what's going on. But I pour out this beautiful Clear Mountain water into these vessels that are City.

But, you know, when that glass is full of Pebbles or gravel, you know, you can only Gribble just a little bit of water in the rest of, it is filled up with other stuff and told me information can get through. So that's part of what we do with especially as we're starting to have some new people come into the congregation people who you know, how bad I've been studying for years and they just show up when they're here or like where that person come from and how did that happen? And what's going on in the Lord's doing something? You're hearing me having to explain a lot of basic Doctrine along the way because they need information to. It was just the old gang from five years ago, I could speak categorical Doctrine and I could use all the terms from our be seen and I could use a lot of theological terms as well at least half as you would get at least a quarter of what I was talking about.

So what I'm trying to do, as I've told you before, I'm starting to do what are b r b thing? But what doctor? Robbie Dean and many of the others out there, who don't, they grew up inside bracket shirts, they were trained under R&B theme. They went to Seminary, they weren't all the tools. They went to other offshoot churches that one of them to use that looks fabulous. But over time they're finding what they need to do to be able to communicate clearly more than just the 850 people who regularly come and sit inside Baraka. And those people who are papers to be able to communicate beyond that they actually have to start speaking in regular normal English make Concepts

Sound normal somewhere. So that's what I attempt to do. If you ever have questions in your thinking, is that really what you mean or are you talking about such-and-such? Doc e-mail said, yes. And so we're scattered all over the place. This little box, he has expanded out here and it shows all of the Canaanite tribes that are basically in the land of Canaan which is where Israel is going to be. This is the Promised Land. Nothing right. There is the big thing is the Mediterranean Sea here. This is Italy. This is Greece and then we call Asia Minor right in there where all the letters to the churches were written right there before getting quite up to you at the grease area. So we would consider modern water turkey. We have all the way over here we have we have asked

Below the Black Sea that are all of these parts that are listed there. Going to be part of that. God, may God Invasion and you going to see the same names again. so,

here. We have two ball. Which is right here. And so they're kind of clustered right next to each other, their neighbors. So when he says, the chief God is the prince of meshech and tubal, you can see, these are our Jason nation and so he is in one area. He's also the chief of these other lands as well, but they are allowed to maintain their independence and he is the chief Prince. That means he's allowing them to be occupied by vassals, that is someone who is serving in his. What we looked at last week is going back to the beginning of the Babylonian Empire. So, we went from Assyria to Babylon and then Babylon was actually conquered by the Mew. Do Persians in a night. Overnight. And we went through that passage and Daniel and so that is when Babylon fell to the medo-persian Army. Interesting thing that I had pointed out is that the nation's involves are actually part of what is considered the scythian Empire. So let me show you that scythian Empire. Basically runs this whole

Just a big swath of people on that Empire stretched out very far. So those were getting to that point. We were actually start to do a geography and we're now able to identify these various people groups and stuff we're signing refining. We have this giant scythian Empire there on. That is all part of what is going to be coming in with your dog is Ezekiel 38 and 39 Bayesian to keep us thinking clearly

Dog is the name of a chief ruler. Dog is a chief ruler. He is called a prince. And may God is actually that which he will do over.

So in Genesis 10, that land is right below the black seed, we just looked at and if Ezekiel is using Gog and Magog and that says Booneville and made, primarily reference this historical, Area.

But it may also extend to include all the land directly ruled over by this entity, who is named God. So now is Ezekiel 38-39, it's not talking about the auxiliary curly postexilic situation, where the Jews are freed by Darius and send back home to rebuild. Israel rebuild, Judah rebuild the Temple, but it's actually about a later time. So this Cog may God get this entire region. The Sith Empire region that I was just pointing out. If that is what God is really over. Then may God could include all of this information.

So what I'm giving you here is some stuff, some information in a few people, our dear friend, Andy Woods, very good scholar but he's leaving some of the stuff off the plate. He hasn't really gone through an address this for you and his review of the Gog, Magog situation. So, I get a chance, I'll have a talk with him and say, I really need to bring this address it, so we have it addressed. So But continuing on

Since we have mentioned, the old lands or nations as well. Up here that makes me inclined to think that that is the most relevant because we not only have God and may God, but in the Ezekiel prophecy, we have mentioned the two ball and meshek, that makes me think that. That is relevant, it was relevant now, back in the Genesis Tune Time in the area, but it makes me think that in the Ezekiel, 38 and 39 prophecy, but it's relevant to. So I'm a little bit more inclined to think, may God, or God as being a local entity, no matter how much power he messes to himself. It is possible that he's someone who's down here and he's just grabbing that name and which is a reference to the entire historic, scythian Empire. Not a possibility, by the way, is C y? no recall that in the Outline of Ezekiel chapter 48 through 48 are specifically about the outbuilding and functioning and a recording of the measurements of the Messianic Kingdom, that is the millennial kingdom messiah's kingdom. That will last for a thousand years. He's going to reform the Earth, he's going to re-establish, Israel, literally geographically militarily internationally and we'll all be re-established and changed the most people who are believers who come out of the tribulation. Into the new Messianic Kingdom. At that time, they will be growing propagating and we will have the Jewish Israel population and then we will have the Gentile population will redistribute across the Earth will have their jim-jams. Empires. So all of that will be ruled over by the Messiah for a thousand years. So this description of this new Empire and everything, specifically outlined Israel on the distribution of all the tribes, where they're going to go where Jerusalem is in the midst of that the land allocated to Jerusalem, land, allocated the temple, all the measurements in the description. That is a massive, the normal structure. Unlike anything else on the face of the Earth today. Nothing even comes close to what we're going to be seeing who is a massive project and it will be there for the worship and the instruction of the nation's. We have several passages but save this come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord. Let us go up to the house of the god of Jacob and he will teach us. His way and we will walk in his path. So the loss will come forth from Zion which is Jerusalem, or the mount on which the temple is, and the law of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Places where that's listed out and repeat it almost identical word for word and gives us a sense of what is happening. Worldwide, Israel and Jerusalem in. The temple has become the new place of teaching. It has always been that in the Theocratic Kingdom in the Old Testament. All the men three times per year were to come up to Jerusalem. Were they are thought by the rituals and the sacrifices, they are taught by the laying on of their hands, literally physically on those animals as their throats are cut and they bleed out and do not and they died beneath their hands every single man had the touch and hold, that animal was sacrificed. Every man had a sentence with the personal responsibility and the cost of sin and that was part of each of these rituals. There's a very very person Aspect of this, of this teachey. It is absolutely requisite. Do we live in that church age moments of time in which we don't get to lay our hands on sacrifices and feel the blood drain out of them? We have almost seems like a spiritual eyes or a somewhat Almost mythologize the view of this price does Jesus? Who who died and people can treat it that way. Thankfully. God, the holy spirit is involved in every person, knows, absolutely, but it's true, whether they're arguing with you or not. What they say, they believe in evolution or not. They know scripture says they know they were accountable, they will be accountable for not denying the truth. They will be accountable for lying about the truth that they actually know about. So this then will be returned to a time where there is again for the millennial Kingdom, a Hands-On teaching and people will come from all of the earth to learn of the atonement sacrifice of the Lord, Jesus Christ, who was necessary, they can believe but can be born again, and many of them wolves and they won't believe and they won't rust. So we'll have many, many unbelievers, groin in You enter in the millennial Kingdom but that transfers in part to what we do here cuz we're teaching the word of God than it is a personal hands on touching experience. And as you touch the word of God as it were, you are aware of. If we're just simply teaching, what scripture says, you're aware of the same factor, you're aware of your sinfulness, you're aware of your need for 1/8 owning sacrifice the deals with your sin, the replaces a judgment needed by you. And then you find out about the Liberty that is in Christ because you have been freed by the work of Christ. Therefore, you are an able to walk in brace, which means it's not your work, not your marriage, even though we place an emphasis on learning, it's not about learning as a work. It's about learning as a vehicle of truth because The saying goes the truth sets, you free. It's actually Crew chief.

Via the question, is with the individual sacrifices laying on the hands of the man. So to throw there's a free stuff to throat quickly. So the people are laying their hands on it. They're holding the animals in the priests. Does the sacrifice, another freese's home?

Much of what is who we are, is in, the blood is not in our skin is not, Got that is not in our viscera is not in our nervous system for say, a lot of catching up to do. To hear more of this. so, Ezekiel 4348 is about the, Messianic Kingdom the prior

Poem where we are learning about the restoration establishment of the Messianic Kingdom and the need for it. We seeing Ezekiel 33 verse 11, all the way up through Z kill 37 verse 28. In other words I should have just said ZzzQuil 33 through 37 Those chapters there. We have the need, the preparation. What is going to happen at the Messianic Kingdom in chapters. 40 through 48. We have a description of the Kingdom itself, the measurements excetera, and then in those passages in between verses 38 and 39, we have a transition going on.

No, I wanted to follow for purpose of similarity. Our list. We have it is Ezekiel. 38 verses 1, through 6. This is the word of the Lord came to me saying, son of man. Set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, I apologize. I didn't get in here and get that cleaned up. That is literally, it is

Who is Chief Prince?

Forty million horses Could turn in the 200 million horses very quickly. We only need a couple years really doesn't doesn't take long at all. So he lists the names, Persia Ethiopia, Olivia are with them. All of them with shield and helmets versus 8, Gomer and all its troops, the house with togarmah. So, we looked at all these different locations on a map from the far north, and all its troops. And so far, north, we're taking here means underneath, the Black Sea, that is considered the far north of this region. That is considered the world at the time, okay? Mini people are with you.

So now, there is a mystery Babylon that is called out in Revelation, chapter 16, verses 13 through 14. And I want to take you to that Revelation 16. He says, when I saw three unclean spirits, like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the Beast come out of the mouths of the false prophet, for their are spirits of demons performance lines, which go out to the kings of the earth. And I love the whole world to gather them to the Battle of that, great day of God almighty.

No, interesting. So we have a description of what is considered a battle of the great day of God Almighty and I don't raise your hand. But I thought this was talking about because I'm going to wrap this all up together here but give me a few minutes to do it. I want to take you through a cougar this with a couple of other passages that we have for. God says, I am against you old Chief Prince of Meshach into law. So, that's our Ezekiel. 38 verse 3, verse to write these versus down here. So you have them and then you have them in the list to compare one against another best says Lord. God, behold I am against you do Gog Chief. Prince of me. Check into ball. You compare that with this next verse Jeremiah, 31 verse 25. Through we read, behold, I am against you or destroying Mountain who destroys all the earth. Now, throughout the Old Testament, in particular, there is a very strong propensity when it's talking about a mountain. That actually means a kingdom. That doesn't mean that it's an allegorical or symbolism here, but just means, and oftentimes mountain is an indicator. It is a way of describing or stating that something is a kingdom. Behold, I am against you destroying Kingdom, who destroys all the Earth says the Lord, then I will stretch out my hand against you roll. You down from the rocks and make you a burnt Mountain. If you recall in our examination through Ezekiel 38 and 39, that's exactly what is prophesied that not only will all of the people invading from the north towards Jerusalem. Be destroyed, their blood will run so deeply that it will literally be causing an etching way of the Earth around and a cutting through of the Rock Mountain. Much blood moving through like massive amounts of water, but he's seen here that you will be a burnt mountain and we have that description as well. We have places that are burning and on fire. We have so many people killed, we have a city. Literally they're going in finding dealing with all of the deaths of this is Jeremiah 5125. That's what did Ezekiel 26 verse through. I'll take you through a few Ezekiel versus Here in Ezekiel 26. He says, there are four of the, says, the Lord God behold I am against you or Tire know he's talking about Tire here. So when I'm comparing is the against portion here. So, I'm against you Oats fire and will cause many nations to come up against you, as a c, cause of this way. But come up, that means an unending overwhelming like the unstopping waves of the ocean coming up against, someone who's caught beneath the eclipse down at the bottom of the rocks and water keeps coming in in, in in in. So he's talking about his aggression against Tire. Look at is Ezekiel 28 verse 22, just a couple chapters for the Lord. God behold I'm against you and I will be glorified in your miss them. They shall know that I am the Lord, when I execute judgment in her and then, hello Dan her. So we have different places that we saw Balaam prophesying against fire since the Dome and so here we have two of them. Know we have is he killed 29 verse three, speak and say, bus, does the Lord God behold, I am against you over Pharaoh, king of Egypt? Oh, great monster. Who lies in the midst of his River, Brookside? My river is my own. I have made it for myself. Another words, another ruler of absolute arrogance who made the Nile River. God, leave the boundaries and set that out part of his boundaries for the Nations. But this Tyrant, this individual Pharaoh king of Egypt. He says, it's a great monster who lies in the midst of his Rivers. We have that connection here to the job like a giant enormous creature. Is the BMF Boulevard athearn those things with her to a chore, massive, but they lay under the waters and say, king of the water Warm. Ezekiel 35 verse 3 and say to. It. Says the Lord God behold of Mount Sion choir.

I am against you. I will stretch out my hand against you and make you most desolate Mount. Stay here is actually part of the land of Edom. So again, in one of those regions, it was prophesied against by Bela come out and said you are indefinite trouble and I am against you. I will stretch out my hand against you and make you most guess what are you seeing a theme Here of what happens to Those whom God says, he is against when we look at Ezekiel 39, Verse one, and you, son of, man, prophesy against Gog. So this is actually in our chapter 38 and 39 suction, but it's up in chapter 39. So it's into the, what is this? The we're getting out on the 5th of the seven oracle's new son of man prophesy against Gog and say. Boss says the Lord God behold I am against you or God the head or Prince head head Prince and Meshach and two ball. So we have the statement been repeated that we had back in. 38 verses 1 through 6 being repeated in 39. Verse one will pop over to meihem 2:13. He says, behold I am against you says the Lord of hosts, by the way, did you notice this in each of these verses on comparing, who's doing the talking every single time? God, the Lord of hosts Yahweh. In this case, we have y'all wait sent canoe, the Lord of hosts. The Lord of. Lord of armies. I will burn your chariots and smoke in the sword shall devour. Devour your Young Lions.

I will cut off your prey from the earth in the voice of your messages. Shall be heard no more. This is the end of a country of a civilization, the Lions or destroy. That is the young ones that have the training and who the hope of the tribe is the lung Cubs. The young cubs who once were supposed to grow up and be strong and be Mighty and take the place of those were a week in becoming toothless as the lion pride goes. But here, he saying your voice and your message will be heard. No, more of. That means an end of you. And then looked man, 2:5 behold. I am against you says, the Lord of hosts. I will lift your skirts over your face. I will show the nation's your nakedness and the Kingdom's, your shame. That is an absolute mercy here that we're talking about when these skirts are lifted over the face, which means the clothing, the wearables, the Eastern Society. Garments were worn by everyone male and female skirts. Overhead means that you're completely vulnerable. That is the end, that is the final judgment. That means you are revealed and your end is dead.
