The Benefits of Serving God

Psalm 103:1-5KJV

1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

God’s benefits. What is the advantage or profit of serving God?

Psalm 116:12KJV

12 What shall I render unto the LORD for all his benefits toward me?

1.   Forgiveness of sin

Isaiah 1:18KJV

James 5:14-15KJV

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

3.   He Renews our strength our youth!

31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

2 Corinthians 4:16KJV

16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Matthew 11:28-29KJV

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
