Things we know!
1 John 5:13-15KJV
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
1. First of all we KNOW we have eternal life! Verse 13
1 John 3:23-24NASB95
23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
24 The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
2. Second our confidence, faith, knowledge, our lives dwells on the the fact that if we ask ANYTHING according to His will He heareth!
a. If our heart is right with God then we have confidence! We shall receive from Him
1 John 3:21-22KJV
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
b. Nothing is too much for God he made the mountains He has no problem moving them!
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
c. If we need to ask ourselves anything it is only do I believe in Him?!
3. Third if we know He hears us we also know we have what we asked!
1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
