There was a time when the Holy Spirit was only given to the Prophets and Holy men of God. He wasn’t available to the normal people and hardly ever to any “dogs” (Gentiles) like us! But something was prophesied by Joel a prophet with a small book! That was for all mankind! Even Us!

Joel 2:28-32 (AV)

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

1.       God says here through his prophet that he will pour out His Spirit

a.       On ALL flesh

Galatians 3:14 (KJV)

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

b.      Sons and Daughters (Men and Women alike will be filled)

Acts 2:38-39 (KJV)

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

 Acts 21:8-9 (KJV)

8 And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

c.       Old men means all elderly! Which some societies treat as though they can’t do anything God says they will have this same gift!

Numbers 12:6 (KJV)

6 And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

2.       Even the poor and the slaves out there will taste of the Holy Spirit

a.       The Lower class usually gets left out of a lot of things but the Holy Spirit don’t pick and choose

 Joel 2:29 (KJV)

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids In those days will I pour out my spirit.

b.      Even in Prisons the Holy Spirit has been poured out to them as well!

1 Corinthians 12:13 (KJV)

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

c.       Have you been filled?
