He is worthy to bring judgement.

Revelation 5:1.
Revelation 5:1 ESV
1 Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
What is the significance of the right hand of God? It is the hand of power and privileged.
Why the Sealed Scroll?
Ezekiel 2:9-10.
Ezekiel 2:9–10 ESV
9 And when I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me, and behold, a scroll of a book was in it. 10 And he spread it before me. And it had writing on the front and on the back, and there were written on it words of lamentation and mourning and woe.
Daniel 12.
Daniel 12:4 ESV
4 But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
Daniel 12:8–9 ESV
8 I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, “O my lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?” 9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
This is the sealed scroll of judgement and woe concerning the time of the end.
It is sealed seven times.
Seven - the number signifying fulness. It is fully sealed.
It is written on front and back.
Signifying that it is a finished scroll and there is no need to add to it. God knows his plan and has established his will.
Revelation 5:2.
Revelation 5:2 ESV
2 And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”
The divine council’s herald calls, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?”
Revelation 5:3-4.
Revelation 5:3–4 ESV
3 And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 4 and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it.
No one is worthy. Justice will not be done; judgment cannot happen. This is wrong. This justice is part of our hope. John weeps because he sees it thwarted. No one is worthy.
Revelation 5:5.
Revelation 5:5 ESV
5 And one of the elders said to me, “Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Weep no more. Hope restored!
The Lion of the tribe of Judah
Genesis 49:9.
Genesis 49:9 ESV
9 Judah is a lion’s cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He stooped down; he crouched as a lion and as a lioness; who dares rouse him?
2 Esdras 12:31-32.
2 Esdras 12:31–32 NRSV
31 “And as for the lion whom you saw rousing up out of the forest and roaring and speaking to the eagle and reproving him for his unrighteousness, and as for all his words that you have heard, 32 this is the Messiah whom the Most High has kept until the end of days, who will arise from the offspring of David, and will come and speak with them. He will denounce them for their ungodliness and for their wickedness, and will display before them their contemptuous dealings.
The Root of David!
Isaiah 11:1-2, 10.
Isaiah 11:1–2 ESV
1 There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse, and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. 2 And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
He is the promised Messiah. The Lion of Judah. The Root of David.
John 16:33.
John 16:33 ESV
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 ESV
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
He has conquered. He can open the scroll with its seals. The Lamb is worthy.
Revelation 5:6-8.
Revelation 5:6 ESV
6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
Jesus is the Lamb standing as having been slain. He is not dead, but was slain, and is now alive, for he conquered sin and death.
Exodus 12:21.
Exodus 12:21 ESV
21 Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and select lambs for yourselves according to your clans, and kill the Passover lamb.
Isaiah 53:7.
Isaiah 53:7 ESV
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.
John 1:29.
John 1:29 ESV
29 The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Worthy is the Lamb! He was dead and now is alive.
The Lamb with seven horns:
Horn in the OT symbolizes power, when paired with seven. It is a symbol of ultimate power, the omnipotence of the Lamb.
Worthy is the Lamb!
The Lamb with seven eyes:

Revelation 5:7 ESV
7 And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne.
Revelation 5:8 ESV
8 And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
The Lamb is worshiped. Fall down before him.
Worthy is the Lamb.
The Elders have:
Harps - symbolizing instruments of praise. The Lamb is worthy of all praise.
Golden Bowls of Incense - the prayers of the saints.
Revelation 8:3-4.
Revelation 8:3–4 ESV
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer, and he was given much incense to offer with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne, 4 and the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel.
Leviticus 2:1-2.
Leviticus 2:1–2 ESV
1 “When anyone brings a grain offering as an offering to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour. He shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it 2 and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. And he shall take from it a handful of the fine flour and oil, with all of its frankincense, and the priest shall burn this as its memorial portion on the altar, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
Our prayers are a pleasing aroma before God.
Revelation 5:9-10.
Revelation 5:9–10 ESV
9 And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, 10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.”
Sing a new song, for worthy is the Lamb.
Isaiah 42:10.
Isaiah 42:10 ESV
10 Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that fills it, the coastlands and their inhabitants.
Christ’s blood has ransomed people from everywhere. The gospel is available to everyone.
Worthy is the Lamb.
Psalm 130:7-8.
Psalm 130:7–8 ESV
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. 8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Titus 2:11-14.
Titus 2:11–14 ESV
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
The Lamb made us a kingdom of priests to God. We are priests in his kingdom.
1 Peter 2:4–5 ESV
4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Worthy is the Lamb!
Revelation 5:11-12.
Revelation 5:11–12 ESV
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!”
Worthy is the Lamb! Worthy of the seven-fold blessing.
Worthy of:
Power
Wealth
Wisdom
Might
Honor
Glory
Blessing
Worthy is the Lamb!
Revelation 5:13-14.
Revelation 5:13–14 ESV
13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” 14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
Worthy is the Lamb!
We must fall down and worship the Lamb. He is worthy to bring justice to the whole earth. AMEN!
