Worry, strange ain’t it? I mean we all seem to want it for some reason. After all, who doesn’t do it at some time or another during our daily lives? And no matter how good things are going we can seem to find something to worry about. Just when one bill is paid, or sickness is over here comes another and boom! We are back to the worry all over again. And you know, when it comes to worry I am not perfect myself because I have spent far too much time worrying too.

Is it wrong to worry? I mean after all, with all the prices going up the gas prices are steadily raising, the grocery bills are getting higher and it gets harder and harder to afford clothes to wear doesn’t it? Just getting by can at times can be something to worry about, can’t it, or can it? In Matthew 6:25- 26 Jesus plainly tells us that we should “take no thought” for our life, what we are going to eat, drink, even for our clothing. For He said in verse 26 to “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they” so if our Father in Heaven takes good care of them, and He does that quite well, I know He can and will take care of me! If God cares enough to “clothe the grass of the field” then why wouldn’t he take good care of us?

Then some might say what about all that bad news, you know the stuff about wars, death, high prices, hard times, disease, and so on; isn’t that something worth a little worry?  Well, it might seem that way sometimes but in Matthew 6:34 Christ said to “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.”  We can’t fix anything by worry; we can’t solve anything with worry. All that can come of worry are health problems.
