What is relevant?
A good question to ask but we must also know its limitations.
We trust what and who we know.

Trust is a basic principle of life. It is also a precious commodity. Lose it and the struggle to get it back is worth it but very difficult and long. Have it betrayed and the scars can run very deep causing many complications.
We live in age of dis-trust.

We no longer trust the people, generally, and institutions we used to. Some of this is a negative change but some give us the opportunity for greater good. Generally speaking we no longer give others the benefit of the doubt when what they share is not what we “know” and “believe”.
We find what we are looking for.

Search for something long enough and you will find it.
God’s people don’t always get things right.

Just because God chose the nation of Israel doesn’t mean they always followed Him. Just because we as God’s people today have been called by Him does not mean we get it right.

In our passage this morning we see the mixing of two different cultures into one. Forgetting who God was they said they were the good ones.
Self-dependence is easy.

Let me admit this morning and it is much easier to rely and trust myself than it is to trust God.
Seeking God is hard and counter-cultural.

The easy path is not always the right path.
God can always be found, for those who seek.

God will not remain hidden forever. God can be found. But we must seek.

Will you search for Him. How can you seek God: pray, read Scripture, talk with other Christians, listen to a podcast, study the Bible, ask questions, talk with me, sing good songs.
