22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

And God’s Word is a Seed, and if you put It in the right kind of ground of faith, and treat It right, It’ll produce just what It is. If It’s for healing, It’ll produce healing; salvation, salvation; joy, joy. And every promise in the Bible is true.

14 And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.)
15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
16 There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
They had the right attitude towards the apostles.
11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
The woman in our text had to overcome something very difficult, she had to overcome who she was, for her daughter to be healed.
Jesus refused to pray for her daughter based on the impropriety of bestowing spiritual blessings on someone who was a Gentile “dog”.
This was in accordance with His earlier teaching.
6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Dogs and swine do not look and see where their blessings are coming from.
It was the nature of gentiles to trample the blessings of God under their feet.
You put an untrained dog or a pig in the most beautiful place you can think of, and they will not act any different than they would in the street, or in a sty.
The Message to the Gentiles was a Message of Grace. It had to be.
19 O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.
20 Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods?
21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The Lord.
He never went to the Gentiles during His earthly ministry because we were not looking for Him. While He was on earth, we were worshipping frogs and snails, painting our faces and carrying clubs. (Not too different from today).
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
The Message had not yet been sent to the gentiles when this woman’s daughter got sick, yet she overcame the natural attitude of a gentile, and her daughter was healed.
Nature is the hardest thing to overcome, because nature is who we are without thinking about it.
Your natural attitude is the way you would act without thinking.
Attitudes run in families.
Your attitude towards Christ will make a great impression on what your children will be. 57-0915E - "Hebrews, Chapter Seven #1"
Ruth overcame her family attitude of turning back. What made the difference? The election of God.
We are called and chosen by God to overcome those things in our natural disposition which are against the Word, so we may have an attitude of humble expectation towards the promises of God.
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Gentiles did not place a proper value on Sacred Things.
The Jews were taught to approach God with reverence, even to the point of wearing a bell and a pomegranate in case they did something wrong and died.
Antiochus Epiphanes slaughtered pigs on the altar, because he could.
When Titus finally destroyed the temple, they took the Menorah and the Table of the Shewbread, which had only been seen by the High Priest, and paraded it through the streets of Rome.
That attitude still exists today.

You can’t disrespect God! You’ve got to respect God. If you don’t believe it, just keep still, keep away from it. Or, either do that, or come reverently and respect it.
Don’t make fun of people in the Spirit. Don’t talk about people that’s worshipping in the Spirit of God. Let them alone. 61-1015E - "Respects"
The Bible doesn’t just tell us to love God, but HOW to love God.
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
In other Words, “Do not love God in a casual way”.
1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.
3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
Spikenard had a unique fragrance, and the presence of its aroma was an indication that the very best had been offered.
Mark—Jesus, Servant and Savior (2 vols.) Love’s Extravagance ( Mark 14:1-11 )
Mark says, “Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, ‘Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.’ And they rebuked her harshly” (vv. 4, 5). Judas, with calculator in hand, a man who knew the price of everything and the value of nothing, instantly calculated the waste (in terms of today’s economy, $25,000 to $30,000).
Jesus said “She has done what she could”.
It is within my power to buy the best ointment and anoint Him with it, so I will not give Him less.
She didn’t go to the discount store, she bought Him the best perfume, and the fragrance filled the room.
When we give Him our best worship, the fragrance fills the room.
I will not apologize for giving my best to God.
There’s nothing too good for Jesus. Give Him your best. Give Him everything you got. Your life, your soul, your being, your time, all that you have, give to Him. 60-1225 - "God's Wrapped Gift"
Whatever we give Him, it ought to be our best. We should use our very best musicians, and singers, and our very best preachers. Bro. Branham said to put our best men on the deacon board. Why do it halfway?
I know some people don’t understand when we use some evangelists over and over, but we give God our best.
Whatever position we find ourselves in, we ought to do our best.
When we do wrong, we should be zealous to repent.

Gentile Laodicea doesn’t how to repent.
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Now, but today…in Noah’s time they had those great giants, and today they got those great intellectual giants in the land too. That’s right. And, I hate to say this, if there’s one here, I hope I don’t hurt you, but it’s Satan’s spies again.
What? Sure, intellectual giants come around to prove that all this shouting and saying, “Amen,” and going to the altar, and breaking up because of your sins, that all that is just emotion.
See, that’s a scientific giant, that’s the intellectual giant, “There’s no such a thing.” Walk up dry-eyed, and oh, just say, “Well, I’ll join this church, and I…” Oh, my! “Well, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” Satan does too, no sign he’s saved. See?
It takes more than that, it takes a new birth. That’s right, that’s right. So it takes, see, the Word, it takes a new birth, not just saying that, it takes something that happens in here, and makes you different. 62-0607 - "Putting On The Whole Armor Of God"
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
We must sow the Gospel in tears.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
“You blame me for weeping, but how can I help it when you will not weep for yourselves, though your immortal souls are on the verge of destruction?” - George Whitefield
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Now let’s just raise our hands. Don’t worry about the tears, they won’t hurt nothing, see. That don’t hurt. “He that goeth forth sowing, in tears, will doubtless return again, bringing precious sheaves.” 65-0911 - "God's Power To Transform"
He wants us to repent, because His attitude towards us is that we are valuable.
The Jews saw no value in the Gentiles, but God did.
Sometimes its hard for us gentiles to see ourselves as valuable.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Paul has to remind the Gentiles they were valuable.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Our natural inclination is to think of ourselves as worthless and hopeless, but you are so much more than that.
He was knocking at the door of the Laodicean church.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
What is His attitude towards us?
Now, Jesus was born for one purpose, that was for God to manifest Himself through that body. God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.
He was a body that was made physical, that men and women could see what He thought, and His expressions to the people in His gratefulness. And His attitude towards all mankind, He expressed it through Christ. 57-1211 - "Sirs, We Would See Jesus"
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
His attitude has never changed.
He cannot change His attitude. He’s still Jehovah. I don’t care how many says that He’s changed. His people has changed, but He hasn’t changed. 61-0215 - "Thou Son Of David, Have Mercy On Me"
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
