Psalm 91:1–3 KJV 1900
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence.
Psalm 91:15–16 KJV 1900
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, And shew him my salvation.

I. Introduction

A. God’s arm is not short that He cannot reach, His ear is not heavy that He cannot hear.

Isaiah 59:1 KJV 1900
Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; Neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

B. Abraham was asked a question that I want to pose to you today, “Is anything too hard for God.”

Genesis 18:14 KJV 1900
Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

1. Jeremiah gave us the answer to this question.

Jeremiah 32:17 KJV 1900
Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

C. I have come to reassure you that there is nothing too hard for God. I’ve come to reassure you that God is hearing EVERY prayer you pray. He is a prayer answering God!

II. Crying out to Him!

A. The Scripture time after time tells us that He is hearing us!

2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV 1900
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Psalm 91:15 KJV 1900
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Psalm 10:17 KJV 1900
Lord, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:
Isaiah 58:9 KJV 1900
Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; Thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, The putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Isaiah 65:24 KJV 1900
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; And while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

1. He said that before they call He has ready begun to answer! My God knows exactly where we are!

Jeremiah 29:12–13 KJV 1900
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

2. When we seek Him with our whole heart! This means its more than just a lay me down to sleep prayer, but I am doing everything I can to find His direction in my life! Paul called the church to perseverance in prayers!

Ephesians 6:18 KJV 1900
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

3. God doesn’t care who you are when you call upon Him. He just wants to hear your voice!

Romans 10:12–13 KJV 1900
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

B. When we call upon Him, He said He would be with us!

Psalm 91:15 KJV 1900
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Psalm 23:4 KJV 1900
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalm 138:7 KJV 1900
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand shall save me.
Isaiah 41:10 KJV 1900
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Matthew 28:10 KJV 1900
Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

C. When we call upon Him, He said He would deliver us!

Psalm 91:15 KJV 1900
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Psalm 37:40 KJV 1900
And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, because they trust in him.
2 Corinthians 1:9–10 KJV 1900
But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

III. Closing

A. It is the will of God Jesus taught His disciples that they would receive His peace. When we call upon Him as the Scripture tells us His Spirit will come in and give us the peace that Jesus was talking about.

John 14:26–27 KJV 1900
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

B. Righteousness, PEACE, and JOY are found in the Holy Ghost!

Romans 14:17 KJV 1900
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

1. In face this is the very makeup of the church!

C. When we lean to our own ways and do not call upon Him we end up in frustration and oftentimes in confusion. This is because our ways are carnal. Look at what Paul had to say.

Romans 8:5–7 KJV 1900
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1. When we yield our lives to His Spirit EVERYTHING will be just fine!

D. Jesus said come to Him when you are heavy laden or overburdened.

Matthew 11:28–30 KJV 1900
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

1. Peter said something similar. He said we need to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Calling upon Him!

1 Peter 5:6–7 KJV 1900
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

E. If we pray, we can be reassured of everything that I am talking about today. God can deliver us out. God can bring salvation to our lives.

Psalm 91:1–4 KJV 1900
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, And under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

1. He will be our protector and defense!
