We find numbers employed throughout Scripture, but perhaps no more densely packed than in the book of Revelation.
Two opposite errors are often encountered when dealing with numbers in Scripture: (1) numbers are interpreted symbolically to derive fanciful teachings; (2) numbers are treated strictly literally and their symbolic significance is denied.
We hope to avoid both of these extremes in our approach to the book.----
