Slide 1 Peter 2:4-10 “Coming to Him, a living stone—rejected by men but chosen and valuable to God— you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it is contained in Scripture: Look! I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and honored cornerstone, and the one who believes in Him will never be put to shame! So honor will come to you who believe, but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected— this One has become the cornerstone, and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the message; they were destined for this. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”

We all at one time or another disobey God’s message!
This is where the Exclusivity of Blessings from God are based…We chose to obey God’s Word!
IMPORTANT NOTE: They weren’t destined to disobey [Free Choice]
They were destined to STUMBLE because they chose to disobey God’s message!

BUT contrasts Chosen Believers with unbelievers destined for destruction...

Application: This has practical ramifications today!
Ruling with Christ means worldly influence is second to Spiritual Realities...
Corinthian Church missed this...
Example: 1 Cor 6:1-4 “If any of you has a legal dispute against another, do you dare go to court before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Or don’t you know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest cases? Don’t you know that we will judge angels—not to mention ordinary matters? So if you have cases pertaining to this life, do you select those who have no standing in the church to judge?”
Remember our Authority is in our Redeemer...Holy, Righteous, and true....

Holiness is the Standard, Righteousness is its Product.

He is the potter we are the clay...
