Prepare the way of The LORD

John is a prophet
He declares the word of the LORD
He dresses like one
Prepare to welcome the King (make HIS path straight)
The Kingdom insists on a King
Repentance involves the confession of Sin.
You have to admit there is a problem before you can fix it.
Illustration: Douglasville wouldn’t admit that Clay was a bad hire, so they couldn’t fix the situation

Keep in repentance

Repentance is an ongoing state, not an action that you do a whole bunch of times
What does repentance look like?

There is a reconning for those who don’t
The axe is in his hands and he is lining up the swing
