Rising Above Deceit of Just Being Saved
1830 John Darby espouses publically a pre-rapture tribulation which would grant the believer a sense of security in not having to go through the tribulation. Until this point this view was rejected by most biblical scholars and was not taught at all within church setting.
1970’s the pre-trib rapture began to be re-introduced and for the first time snuck its way into the church. By the 1980’s the view began to gain momentum.
1995 a movie Left Behind takes center stage and brings this view into popularity.
By the time we make it into the 2000’s the script has flipped Pre-Trib rapture has taken root as the central view widely accepted by churches everywhere.
While the view loosely carries some scripture references, it is heavily grounded in the emotion of “it is hard to conceive how the gentiles would have to go through such a thing… this period is reserved for the Jews”
Sadly for us what this has done is its created a posture in the Christian church of;
“Well at least I am saved and am okay with that”

The church is about more than just being saved. We are called be fruitful and to multiply in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Revelation 22:12–13 ESV
“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”
Isaiah the prophet speaks of this and now found here…
Remuneration-recompense is not for standing by or just being saved…
wages for what you have earned…
Reward or repayment
Matt 16:27 the Lord will pay each person for what they have done
not about salvation
completely about what we have done.
We are told that we need to read and keep the words found in REV.
The Angel sent to give these words was for the CHURCHES… theyre still in place.
The concepts of receiving just recompence is found in this section of scripture
For the one who washes their robes have the RIGHT to the tree of Life
Takes away or denies the words spoken in this book (Revelation) God takes away
their share in the tree of life and in the holy city.
The entire book of Revelation along with scripture would agree with
preparation the people of God will go through
the work not of salvation but in growing the Kingdom
Perseverance of the saints to the very end
7 churches in Revelation defines the work, or lack thereof, and the recompense

Ranking in Heaven

We know there to be a ranking structure in the spiritual world
order established from the beginning of time
Seen in the angelical hosts, and the demonic hosts, Adam and Eve before the fall above all other creations.
Humanity in Heaven
Matthew 5:19 ESV
Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
In the fulfillment of the law there is not a doing away but bringing into completion.
Some who throw away the first five books and dismiss them as maybe real but most likely allegorical or figurative
The first five books reveal an image of what heaven is like… not that we need to live in the law in our righteousness but in the righteousness of Christ… We would have to be better than the Pharisees who lived it.
Least to the Greatest
If we regard it invalid and teach others to do the same we will be considered;
not just the smallest but the most insignificant in the Kingdom of heaven
Not just hear but Do and are able to impart unto others how to do will be considered;
held in high esteem/status
It then follows in the kingdom of heaven there is a ranking some will be seen as the most insignificant/ others seen in high esteem/status.
Our walk is more than just I am saved, there is work for us to do until His return.

Our Work Revealed By His Light

1 Corinthians 3:12–13 ESV
Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw— each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done.
There is an assignment on each of our lives which draws us into His service
“We are God’s fellow workers.
In Him for Him
Work until the end but our intention will be revealed… the fire will sort out what we have done
trials tribulations other instances of refinement
V.15 if our work is burned up we still have salvation but have lost everything we thought we had worked for and gained
v.14 your work will be fire tested… if it remains you will receive your reward
did you sell out
did you give up
did you settle to speed up God’s promise
Did you persevere to the end?

The Economy of Heaven

Salvation is a gift of God… you cant earn it, you cant buy it, you cant barter for it
In salvation we encounter the economy of heaven best illustrated by the 10 minas
Luke 19:12–13 ESV
He said therefore, “A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then return. Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Engage in business until I come.’
Glimpse into the economy
Christ as the nobleman prepared to receive a Kingdom to Himself
He calls the worker…
He equips them...
He appoints them…
they are to remain working until His return…
3 types of servants noted
v. 15 we dont want Him reigning over us
v. 16 Servant who is fruitful and multiplied
note this one says your mina has made more…
what is expected is only the yield from what was given never what someone else has
v. 20 the one too scared to try
frozen in fear
atleast give it to someone who could have made interest.
Remuneration
The servants who multiplied
called good servants (consider Gen 1)
They are given greater responsibilities… Held in high esteem
The servant who was too scared
stripped of what he had
remains the least of all
salvation is not at stake but their reward is.
The ones who did not want Him to rule over them
considered enemies of the kingdom
these are executed
We who are known by the living God cannot go on saying well “at least I am saved”. Though there is a season of being made ready there comes a time in which we must step into our calling, anointing, and appointing.
From this series we know there to be much work ahead of us. Though some may disagree with what I am more and more convinced the end will look like, it is clear that in our being with our Lord His light will make clear the work we have been about.
In the church being one of the two witnesses, there is a need to understand our role in this is much more than just being saved.
Some are content and set in their ways. Believing they do not have to choose to serve the Lord they are free from His rule… these are considered enemies and will be destroyed
Some are so stuck in their fear, but even in this there is a way give that talent to the bank bring an interest
Then there are the ones who are about the Fathers business who are busy multiplying what the Lord has given them over and against what may come… these will receive in the Lord recompense that is beyond expression… but to hear “Well done good and faithful servant enter into the joy of your master.”
