Philippians 4:6-13 (KJV 1900)

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. 10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. 11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Times have been especially tough lately, all of us have felt the pain of too many bills not enough money. There has been a lot of sickness, disease; problems have faced all of us whether it was illness or bills that money just doesn’t seem to be there for.

Yet God’s promises can be found here! They always ring true even when we lose hope He never loses His Power!

God promises he that-

1.   He is always with us!

A.       Even when others come against us and say hurtful things, when we face anything all our problems will be taken care of God promises it!

Psalm 46:1–3 (KJV 1900)

1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

b.       We should always know Jesus is there when we face anything!

Psalm 34:4KJV

4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

c.       We can’t let problems or hard times to ruin our lives!

2 Timothy 1:7KJV

7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2.  God will strengthen us or empower us!

a.       We may feel weak but are strong in God! “For I am thy God: I will strengthen thee”;

Isaiah 40:29KJV

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

b.       Christ will strengthen us!

Philippians 4:13KJV

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

3.   He will uphold us, carry us, or provide for us!

a.       No matter how terrible God is there to help you!

Psalm 46:1-3KJV

1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

Through all hard times even financial, he will help us carry us!

b.      If you also like myself have been facing fears that you haven’t faced before, if times are getting rough for you and you don’t know what you can do. Tonight we will have a time of prayer

If you believe that our government is getting into more and more of a mess and it can’t get out we are going to have prayer,

If you see that things are happening overseas and the mess is getting worse (Like North Korea) we are having prayer.

Hebrews 13:5KJV

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 43:2KJV

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
