Title of today’s less is Integrity in the Workplace
Integrity defined for a secular/worldly point of view

Consistently acting in accordance with one's values and beliefs and being accountable for one's actions.

Integrity defined from a biblical point of view

Adhering to moral and ethical principles, consistently doing what is right in the eyes of God, and maintaining a high level of honesty, sincerity, and righteousness in all aspects of life.

Defining Integrity in the Workplace

Make it a priority to always to perceive all things from God’s point of view.
The alternative is whatever you perceive is right and beneficial to you,

In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
Never resolve to compromise your walk with God at your workplace
Integrity is a fundamental virtue that guides individuals to do what is right, even in the face of temptation or adversity.
Athletes who are on the “juice” to be competitive

Marion Jones was on top of the world after winning three gold medals at the 2000 Summer Olympics. A few years later she was in prison.

But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.
The nature of sin is such that, whether or not others discover your sin, your sin will “discover you.” You cannot run from the consequences.

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.

The Benefits of Workplace Integrity

There is a positive impact of integrity on personal and professional growth
As children of God it is of the highest significance that we display honesty, trustworthiness, and moral principles in our daily work lives
Luke 9:23 ESV
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Your actions in the workplace reflect your faith and character
The same goes for your home
Matthew 5:16 ESV
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
The same applies in your home
Proverbs 20:7 ESV
The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!

Challenges to Maintaining Integrity

Maintaining integrity in the workplace can be challenging for Christians due to various reasons. Here are three common challenges they might face:

1. Ethical Dilemmas

You may encounter situations in the workplace where you need to make choices that could compromise your values or go against your beliefs. (dishonesty, corruption, or participating in activities that conflict with your religious convictions.
Always trust in God’s plans
Jeremiah 29:11 ESV
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

2. Peer Pressure and Conformity

There will sometimes be pressure to fit in and conform to the prevailing culture
Christians may face challenges in remaining true to their faith and principles when the majority around them does not share the same values.
Always seek God’s guidance in decision making
James 1:5 ESV
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

3. Balancing Priorities

It can be challenging for Christians to balance their commitment to their faith while also meeting the expectations of their employers.
Find strength and assurance in God's promises.
Isaiah 41:10 ESV
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
CONCLUSION
Understanding what integrity is from a christian standpoint is of utmost importance.
Knowing and being prepared for the challenges to our integrity is also key in for our “Christian” response
More importantly, we must realize and embrace the benefits in maintaining our integrity and glorifying God as His ambassadors on earth.
