Self-Control
Introduce myself
Talk about who I am what I do...
possibly tell story of doing film and pastoring and wanting to do more but have to be able to have the self-control to focus on what God wants me to do....
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
College students want to do everything the one things they cant do all the time is REST
God asks us to rest, he wants us to rest
And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a desolate place by themselves.
talk about walls being built around cities
its two fold a person who has no walls is like a person without self-control
and a person who can step back from time to time and asses their life will build gaurds around the weak points so they may grow stronger
self-control in our life allows us to grow stronger as individuals better students, better friends, to be better sons, daughter, etc ultimatly self-control allows us to be better disciples for Christ

Possibly speak on story of martha and mary in regards to having self-control with our time
