Little Sin

 We as Christians should be always on our guard to be sure that we are living according to God’s holy will! Still many out there are fooled into thinking that they are only committing a “little sin” and that won’t matter will it?

Psalm 139:23–24 (KJV)

                       23  Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

 This morning I spoke on the sin that David did in his life with Bathsheba, this evening I want to speak with you all concerning the sins that a lot of people allow to build up in their lives.

Galatians 5:19–21 (KJV)

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Works of the flesh are sins of the flesh. It is easy to see Adultery, fornication, Idol worship, witchcraft, murder, drinking is sin but there are a lot of other sins that we don’t want to count. Unclean minds, hatred, variance, (arguing) strife, So many people think that a little sin is of no harm a “White Lie” a “Bad word” God won’t keep you out of heaven for that will he?

It doesn’t take a lot of sin to ruin a soul! Ministers have fallen just because of tiny sins, long standing Christian soldiers have fallen because of the tiniest things.

MAKING LIGHT OF POISON

Danger; Denial; Sin; Stubbornness

Fallon, Nevada, is the arsenic capital of America. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Environmental Protection Agency found that Fallon’s water system delivers more arsenic to its customers than any other large town water system. Folks there even joke about it: "Arsenic? It only bothers you if you’re not used to it."

Tim Miller, who has lived in Fallon all his life, jests, "Arsenic is no biggie. I’ll die of something. It’s called life. Once you’re born, you start dying."

The arsenic levels remain high, not because people like drinking arsenic, but because they don’t want to pay for the solution--a $10- million treatment plant. Said one official, "This is Nevada. They don’t want to feel government is intruding in their lives."

Talking about sin often gets about the same response. It’s not that we wouldn’t like to get rid of it, but we don’t like anyone--even God--telling us what we have to do. "Sin is no biggie," folks seem to say. "I’ll die of something. It’s called life."
