Satan wants you

Satan wants you! He wants your soul in hell and there are many here in this church I fear he just might get! Some like to say that “I am a Christian he can’t have me!” but he is especially after your soul above anyone else!

1 Peter 5:5–11 (KJV 1900)

5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Luke 22:31–34 (KJV 1900)

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Jesus warned Peter of his battle with Satan that was coming up that night He even prayed for Peter that his faith wouldn’t fail him, but Peter instead of falling to his knees in prayer asking God to deliver him simply bragged on himself we know the rest of that story Peter even cursed the name of Jesus!

Many allow pride to bring them down!

Proverbs 16:18–19 (KJV 1900)

18 Pride goeth before destruction, And an haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Others allow problems and sorrows to cause them to fall!

Psalm 55:22 (KJV 1900)

22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

We are in a warfare most don’t understand and if you don’t have the right tools to fight with you are going to lose!

Ephesians 6:10–12 (KJV 1900)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Every time there was a war there was one poster standing up in the recruiting office showing a picture of “Uncle Sam” with his finger pointing straight forward and the words I WANT YOU! There is another person who wants you and not only to serve in war for a few years and make it home but for an eternity and he wants you to make hell your home.
