21st After the resurrection Jesus met with His disciples

Luke 24:30-31 “Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.”
A normal meal blessing
In Emmaus
They were entertaining Jesus without knowing it. Then they knew
He vanished!
walking down the road the disciples were talking out their problems and concerns with each other instead of taking them to the Lord. So… He shows up. Have you ever overheard a conversation and know the answer to the problem, but can’t interrupt to help? Jesus listens to us and wants to interrupt our lives and have a conversation.
Jesus just wants us to come to Him with our prayers and He will open our eyes to the answer.

22nd The last prayer before His ascension. This prayer was interrupted by His ascension.

Luke 24:50-51 “And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven.”
He was out leading the disciples as far as Bethany
He lifted His hands in prayer
He blessed them
In the middle of the prayer He rose and was carried away to be seated at the Fathers right hand
Mark 16:19 “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.”
Heb 1:3 “who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,”
Heb 10:12 “But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,”
Heb 7:25 “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”
Heb 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Acts 1:9-12 “Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.”

Amen

We come to the close of this series. Jesus has taught us many things. At the end of prayers and at the end of the Bible we see the word - Amen
ἀμήν : amen - truly, indeed, of a truth, so be it, surely, certainty, assuredly.
1 Kings 1:36 “Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, “Amen! May the Lord God of my lord the king say so too.” When King David is transferring the throne to Solomon . And Benaiah says Amen - Surely, May this be the will of God.
When we say amen, we’re saying we want to agree with the Lord, Not Lord bless my plans. Lord Your will be done! The more you get to know God, The more you will know His will and Desires.
It denotes a hope and a commitment to the fulfillment of the prayer.
In the New Testament Amen is also used at the end of prayers, but also doxologies
Galatians 1:5 “to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:21 “to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
1 Timothy 1:17 “Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.”
It is used of The church saying yes (so be it) to God’s Word
Revelation 22:20 “He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!”
Jesus is The Amen! Revelation 3:14 ““And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:”
The Lord Jesus used the repeated word Amen, Amen (or verily verily) as a royal proclamation of divine truth to be obeyed and that cannot be disagreed with. John 6:47 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”
John 6:47 (KJV 1900) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
To the thief on the cross Jesus gave Him assurance with a sure proclamation
Luke 23:43 “And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.””
