There we go. Almost give the preacher a heart attack.

Sprague and father, as we spend your word now but you won't return void in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Parents make sure their kids learn by heart for me it was someone some 23, some 24 and some 121 and Psalm 46 was an all-time favorite, some 46. That's the song that you pull out when you are going through trouble that you're going through trials, we going through problems, you turn to Psalm 46. So that's why I want to teach some 46 as a teaching tool. Our favorite songs God in times of chaos as a kid, as I memorize this song. Only remember, really remember the only things that really made sense was the first verse And also probably first. And then after that, I did not understand anything in the storm and I was saying words that I really didn't mean anything to me, but, you know, because my parents made me memorize those songs that I've been teaching, flu, that I've been teaching to you like, in the last few months. But, you know, it does something to you even though you don't fully understand it. But you building at it felt like you building a database of resources that you will be able to pull up later in life. So some 46 is one of those learning to trust God in times of chaos, Martin Luther he had some problems, he would tell people a let's sing some 46. Let's turn to that song, 46. And that's where you have one of very popular him. Call A Mighty Fortress Is Our God, which was planned by Martin Luther was based on Psalm 46, because some 46a teaches us how to trust, God for the song and then we'll come back and learn three things. Three important lessons that God wants us to learn. In this song, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble with me God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Therefore, we will not fear though, the Earth gives way, do the mountains, be moved into the heart of the sea, do its Waters Roar and foam do the mountains tremble, at its swelling.

There is a river with streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the most high God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. God will help her when morning Dawns, the nation's rage the kingdom starter. He utters his voice, the Earth mail, the Lord of hosts is with us. The god of Jacob is our Fortress. Fila. So we take apart. Then come Behold The Works of the Lord how he has brought desolations on the Earth. He makes Wars cease to the end of the Earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear. He burns the Chariots with fire be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the Nations. I will be exalted in the Earth. The Lord of hosts is with us. The god of Jacob is our Fortress. Father, as we study your word. Now me, you teach us and may you help us to trust you in times of Chaos, in Jesus name, we pray. Amen. Send a message in one sentence is simply Des. It makes a difference when you trust God in the challenges and difficulties of Life, all of us at any point in your life. You will go through some changes changes. You like and changes. You will not like in today. Will focus on the ones you will not like and you will face difficulties in life. That's for all of us. A joke. Say that we were made for trouble. Gay. Jesus says, in this world you will have trouble, but be of good cheer. Jesus says, I have overcome the world, so when you face your trouble, it will make a difference when you trust God. When you face those problems, you could either face it alone or you can face it with God. And God is the one who created us. Is the one was totally in control. God is omniscient. God is omnipresent. You better off being with God instead of going 80 alone are better than one. So my what I want to encourage you today is that to trust God, when you face the difficulties of life, so we learned three lessons for stability in times of chaos. So the first one, the first one is that in times of chaos and difficulties, you can always rely on God, to be your refuge and your strength in times of chaos and difficulties, you can always rely on God, to be your refuge and for God to be your Strength As we soar in the song, it says God is our refuge and strength Refuge me. Like it's a place of trust, see when things are changing for your in your life, especially not for the better. God is your constant. So God is that place to trust. God is your shelter, God is your safety, God is your protection. So, when everything is moving, you can rely on God to remain the same, because God is the same yesterday today. And forever. God will remain the same. All do things are changing in your life. Things are changing around you, but God is not changing because God change nuts. See, that's why whenever you face, trials and difficulties, you can count on God to be your refuge, and not only your Refuge, but also your strength, your strength, meaning, equals power. So because usually when you faced with difficulties, you faced your problem, you need an anchor man of God, is that anchored at refuge for you sometimes? What you need is some strep because you have become we could because your problems you suck, the winds suck the life out of you and the bible promises that God is your refuge and God is your strength and he's a very present help in times of trouble. So when the trouble comes and they try to suck the life out of you, you can always run to God and call God to be your refuge and ask God to be your strength. And guess what? He will show up because he is a very present. Help in trouble. You can only say that he's present, he will be there. But the foam is here wants to emphasize, and he says he's a very present help ever present. That means you can count on this when the going gets tough. That's why you cry out to God. If you feel like God is not there, God did not move. You know, we moved you moved. God did not move. So that's why. When you face your trials, you face your problems, you face bad circumstances in your life. You need to cry out to God because God is our refuge and he is our strength and he is our very present help in trouble. So whatever you face, God is saying, you turn to me and I will be there. But again now I know a lot of us would like to pray Deliverance Prayer. God get me out of this. Get me out of this. It says God is our refuge and strength. What does he promise?

A very present help in time of trouble. He promises to be with you. That doesn't mean that you're not going to get trouble. God says, he will be with you in the trouble. Would it be great if he delivers us from the trouble? Hallelujah. Okay, but some trouble, we go fluid for a while but God says, as you going through that trouble, I am going to be with you. But do we want got to deliver us? Absolutely. If it's God's will to deliver us in that trouble, we pray that God delivers us but we need to be patient. Also when it takes time God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble and has, therefore, we will not come on, we will not fear when things are changing around your life. You not sure who you are uncertain, about the future and things are not going your way. What do you thin to do? Fear when difficulties come your way, why do you think to do? But it says therefore we will not be here. Do the Earth gives way, do the mountains, be moved into the heart of the sea. Here's is the song, mrs. Appealing to natural, disasters. Going to like making Rolling Fork, where we had that disaster with the tornado and hurricanes. Come tornadoes, come a tsunami, has come the song that says we will not fear and verse 3. Same thing it says, do its Waters Roar and foam? Do the mountains, tremble, at his swelling. It goes back again to the beginning of words to We will not do what we will not fear to really hear the song. This is saying whatever you're facing life as far as natural disasters. You can count on God and God will be there with you in that time of difficulty. Busy. God is never busy, but he's always available. God is never busy but always available to us because he is that Fresno that helped for us. I love some 18 verse to. It says the Lord is my rock and my Fortress and my deliverer were my God, my rock in whom I take refuge English classes. Why do we need all of this same word saying over and over? But it's the show that God is all that you can count on God. Want to resend it again together. The Lord is my rock, my Fortress, my deliverer, my God, my rock again, in whom I take refuge my shield and the Horn of my salvation, my stronghold. See the song is here. Saying God, you are my everything. And I believe, or is this the same approach we need to take off. So when we Face difficulties of life, we Face the challenges of life and when things are not going the way we want them to go, and we feel like we're losing, hope we want to feel, we want to fold. You memorize some 118 Verse 18 horse, too. And you say to yourself, the Lord is my rock. He's my Fortress Is, My deliverer is my God, he's my rock. I take refuge in him. His, my shield is the Horn of my salvation and God is my Fortress and drive the fear out of your whole life. Because fear stands for false evidence, appearing, real false evidence appearing real. It is just troubling you but it is not real. God is greater than all your fears? God can't do my T work. If you don't believe he can, God can not do Mighty work in your life if you don't believe that God can, but he will when we put our trust in him. I'll say it again. God can't do Mighty work if you don't believe he can but he will when we put our trust in him. Now word from our sponsor, the Bible. I got you attention. Good. Matthew 1358. It says and he did not do many mighty works there because of their I proved my point.

Then Psalms 68 verse 35. What does it says? Awesome is God from here, to Central Library, the god of Israel. He is the one who gives power and strength to his people blessed be God. Did I prove my point? God can't do my T work if you don't believe he can but he will when we put our trust in him and he will do the mighty work. So here's the bottom line for our first blank God in times of troubles, we need to rely on God to be our refuge and our strength is that circumstances may change but God's promises to you will never change God's promises to. You will never change god promise to be there for you to be your refuge and your strength in times of trouble. Why do you think God is going to do? He will show up in your trouble in your times of need. I love Isaiah 54:10 for the mountains. May depart in the Hills be removed, but my steadfast love, that means immovable the love. That never changes shall not depart from you and my Covenant of Peace shall not be removed. Says the Lord who has compassion on you, do you know that God cares for you? Yes he does. So when you go through your trials you don't have to go alone because God promises to be with you. The second thing we learned in this song is that in times of chaos and difficulties, we can always rely on God to be our source of Joy. But you realize, after you become fearful what else is taken away from you? The joy, you feel miserable in times of your trouble in times of your need when you have problems. When you go in for bad circumstances, your joy is being sucked out of you. But you're the psalmist tells us not only not to fear that, God will be our refuge and our strength, but the song is also sells us. That God is our source of Joy. So if we go to the tax during the first four to seven, it says there is a river was streams. Make what glad the city of God the holy habitation of the most high. This is kind of like future in the future Kingdom in the millennial ramp when Jesus return is going to saying that God will be accessible to us right here. Like it's not like a river just flowing like in the sea Video of guy cuz Jesus would be raining from Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the city of God. That's the reference there. But we also know that God is our source of Joy. God is in the midst of her. See, God will be right there. She shall not. Be moved. God will help her when morning Dawns. The dacians rage, the kingdom tartar. He utters his voice, the Earth melts and then verse 7 says, the Lord of hosts is with us. The god of Jacob is our Fortress, our stronghold. You see hear those songs were. This was a song when people will sing that song. You see, they read the first three verses. When you see see like that. Means you take a break to take a pause. Just now they take a pause.

Then you go for 27 on that, that God is All Rivers Of Joy. Because God, when God is present in your life and enjoy his present because there's a gift of the spirit is love and Joyce. So when God is in your life, Joy needs to flow through your life because God's your flows in your life, like a river, a man All right, look at this. So this here, if you look at the language in the text, when we go there, since God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved. God will help her. When the morning Dawns, the nation's rage, the kingdom tartar. He utters his voice, the Earth melts and then, it says, the Lord of hosts is with, was the god of Jacob is our Fortress. It is believed that the person who wrote this song, wrote it at the time of King Hezekiah. So, King Hezekiah died. I was at a very prominent king in Israel and in the syrians had invaded Jerusalem. The city was just one of the few cities back in those days. That was not next to a river bank cuz we all know that water is very essential. So what Assyrians did they they invaded them and they kind of like set of seeds around the city. So kind of just to make them surrender and just come out in those old days, you know, the city that like a big. What do you say like the wall, like the Wall of China, just around the city. Third one is fortified, you know, so they can not come into what they do. So they invade you that City and they know that it's not next to a river bank, so they've going to need water eventually so until they surrendered, but God, in his Providence. Early on King, Isaac. I actually used technology in God. The water from the river to come to the city. That's what we're seeing 2nd, Chronicles, 32, or 33 says this same as a kayak. I closed the upper Outlet of the Waters of gihan and directed them down to the west side of the city of David, which is Jerusalem, and a zakiya prospered in all his work. So, although these be a serious did not mind when they, when they had invaded, the city that the people will surrender and come out because there's no water but the people were able to hold on longer than they can fake. And they, they were there even though they had. But the people were very fearful, like a Izakaya was losing his mind. When you read the story in the Old Testament, he was so scared of the Assyrians, it's kind of like you were small country now and then the United States Army come I'm coming for you. You know that that's it. But look at God, look at God. Look at God. Look at Isaiah 37 or 36 and the angel of the Lord went out and struck down. 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians and when people arose, early in the morning behold, these were all dead bodies.

You think it doesn't matter what you face. Remember how big it is? It seems like overwhelming Izakaya was losing his mind. How am I going to defeat this Army? Got took care of it.

Chest in an instant. The same thing for your problems. Whatever problems you think is too big. Whatever problems that you facing. That seems like overwhelming, that there is no way out that I am done. It's taking the life out of you. You living in fear. There is no joy in your life. God can take care of it. Dressed in an instant see, God took care of the army for a zekiah. Got to care of them for his people. Although they were small army compared to the Assyrians. God took care of it. John 7 verse 3738 says, on the last day of the feast that's when Jesus was at the feast in. Jesus, stood up on that great day. In Jesus says it's stood up and he cried out. If anyone thirst let him come to me and drink who ever believed in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow, rivers of Living Water and that's what God does for us. God's joy in our life will flow like a river and that's what God promises you. That's why God promises me. Hey, if you stay close, you believe that God is our refuge and God is our strength. God is always present in your life. God will not only remove fear from your life, but also God will fill your heart with his Joy. Bottom line for this second point is simply this God's joy in your life will flow like a river even in dry seasons.

Because God is in control. The good place for a Hallelujah.

I need to bring a Pentecostal Legends. Next time. Okay. Turd. Third Point case, that God is our very present help in times of trouble. But in times of chaos, also, you can always rely on God, to be your comfort, not only rely on God, to be your refuge and strength to be your source of Joy. But also, you can rely on God, to be your comfort because when you face times of uncertainties, times of changes times of difficulties. You feel miserable?

You never say, come Behold The Works of the Lord how he has brought desolation on the earth. He makes Wars cease to the end of the Earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear. He burns the Chariots with fire. What does it say? Be still and know that I am God. I can't remember the many times. I've heard this verse be still and know that I am God the battle belongs to God. Just like God took care of the Assyrians for the Israelites. The same way that God can take care of your own bottles for you and God says, hey whatever you face. When you've done all, you can just like the song. Say you would Jess stands That's what it says be still and know that I am. God, I could sing for you, but I don't want you to go crazy.

after you've done, all you can You just stay. There you go by Bebo. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. After you've done all you can you just did you give it to God? And God says you be still and know that he is God. And in the member, when I taught some 23, when I says, God cares about his name, God will do it because of his name to cuz it says, I will be exalted among the Nations and I will be exalted in the Earth. God wants to get you out of your trouble to make his name great. So that's why, when you get out of your trouble, don't take credit. Give it to God, and thank God for delivering you out of your trouble. That you were so fearful of, and there was no joy in your life and then you wanted to credit, isn't it funny? When we going for our problems, we all fearful, but God delivers us and all of a sudden, do you know, I did this and I did that and, you know, I just made some changes here and make some changes there. And that's how I know. You don't know if everything just fell into place and we had no clue. It was really God doing it all along the way. So, when God gets us out of our problems, we need to give him the credit. So let's be still and know that God is God. The Lord of hosts is with us. The god of Jacob is our Fortress 2. Using the same words over and over fortress stronghold. Same thing Refuge. Same thing. God is saying, hey, It's me. I got you and I can do what I say that I will do and we can rest on him, is he sometimes we pray for specific things to happen, and they don't always seem to be happening in our timetable, right?

But waiting is actually where Faith becomes necessary. Picture of greed. If we had no problems, why do we need faith for? So, if you have some problems in your life, how can you grow your faith? But you need to have opportunities to get tested. All the words that you're learning because Bible says faith comes by hearing hearing the word of God. So that once you've heard the word of God, you got to be trusted another to see if you really believed it.

You see, waiting is actually where Faith becomes necessary. So when you're facing difficulties, the Deliverance is not coming yet. That's when your face needs to grow. Proverbs 119:28 says my soul melt away for sorrow. Strengthen me. According to what your word, God's word increases. Our faith Deuteronomy 31 verse. 8 says, it is the Lord will goes before you. He will be with you. He will never leave you or forsake you and it says, do not fear, or be dismayed. That's a verse to memorize. It is the Lord who goes before you he will be with you, very present help, he will never leave you or forsake. You do not for you or be. Thus. May see the Bible says our steps as Believers are ordered by your steps are ordered by God, says your steps are ordered by God. That means whatever step you think. God, I'd already taken a step before you. So that's why you cannot live in fear and you can leave at peace. That God is your conference. Here's another one. Hebrews 30 13 Verse 5 says, keep you alive from the love of money and come and be content with what you have for. He said I will never leave you nor forsake you do you say sometimes? He says, I will never leave you or forsake. You. Got the promise to you, and that's God's promise to me. God says, whatever you face. I will never leave you. I will never forsake. You You believe this?

We have some weed faith for you this morning. Do you believe this? Burgerque. God says, I will never leave you or forsake you in the greatest, I will leave you, not or forsake you not. That's kind of how the emphasis he's in the Greek. I didn't John 8 3132 sister, Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him. If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. You see, if you're feeling feel full, you feeling discouraged, nothing seems to be working in your life. You feel like, oh man, is just nothing is working. Maybe you're not in the words. Turn to the word. The word will give you the right perspective, the word will lead you and guide you. You see the bottom line for remembering times of turmoil, that God is our source of comfort is like when life or your life is in turmoil, turn to God and stop worrying for God is our Fortress doesn't. God, says, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God in the peace of God. Which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. Isn't that God that says in Matthew, it says sufficient for each day, its own trouble, it says do not worry about your life, what you will eat, what you will drink, what you will wear.

Let tomorrow worry about itself, be the more worried about tomorrow. The more we not living today, That doesn't mean we do not plan. We still plan for tomorrow, but if we worrying about tomorrow, we taking away from today's Grace's, so live today and enjoy today. God give you enough Grace for each day. Do not let the pressures of today, drive you crazy, or the preoccupations of tomorrow. Just suck out the joy of your life. God, got your back. God is your Fortress from 42? Verse 11 says, why are you cast down? Oh, my soul. And why are you in turmoil within me? Does that sound like you? Hope in God, the recipe is to Hope in God. Whenever you feel like, oh my God is going on too much for me, says you hoping for I shall again, praise him. My salvation in my guy. See, there was a lady by the name of any Johnson plant, see if her mother passed away, when she was just two years old giving birth to her little sister, father was really distraught and really came to you having like a disease that was going to lead to death of a terminal illness. He had to let the kids live with another family. She was a widow. She also had two kids of her own soon. After the kids realize there were on welcome in that house because the the Widow that was taken care of them was not even able to take care of her own kids. But bit of family, a teacher recommended a family and the father gave the girls up for adoption and soon after he passed away but that. The adoptive parents love the girls you know really left them with any started getting sick. And she was really totally like in farm at some point in her life. But you see one thing she did was that she turned to the pain pen, she used her pains and and just wrote, she just wrote a lot of songs in one of the songs that she wrote was, he gives more grace. And then the words goes, he give more grace when the burdens grow? Greater He said more strength. When the labors increase to added Affliction, he adds his Mercy to X trials. He multiplied. Peace. His love has no limit. His grace has no measure. He's power. No boundary known unto men for out of his infinite riches in Jesus he gives and gives and gives again. When we have exhausted our store of endurance when our strength has failed. Our the day is half done. When we reach the end of our hoarded resources, our fathers. Only begun to listen to this. One fear. Not that your need shall exceed his provision.

Any of you can identify fear that that your needs shall exceed his provision. Our God ever yours, he's resources to share, lean hard on the arm, Everlasting availing, the father both. You and your load will a bear. See? Annie did not hurt. Let her trials suck the life out of her but she use her trials to write to help people doing flu the same trials and you see in a nutshell, really, what I'm trying to say is that when life is falling apart, God is still God almighty. When life is falling apart, God is still God almighty. God is still God, got changes nuts, and he is always accessible and available to you. He's never absent, even in the presence of Silence. What do you need to do? Trust him because the Bible says, God is our refuge and strength. A very Present health of right now. God in times of trouble and it says, we need to be still and know that he is God, Amen. Father, thank you for your grace this morning. May you help us Lord God not to live in fear in our time or trouble Howard times of difficulties bad circumstances. I pray father that you be with each one of us help us. Lord God to be reminded in our times of trouble, we can count on you to be our refuge and strength. We can count on you, to be our source of joy and count on you to be our comfort. When the going gets tough to each one of us here. To take you at your word and as we go this week, whatever trials, we might face whatever. True out a trouble, whatever problems that we might face, but you help us look God to face it head-on knowing that your words will never passed away. We can count on your word. So father, may you be our refuge and our strength. May you be? The source of joy in our life, the source of our comfort. so father, if any of us this morning, Are struggling financially relationally spiritually emotionally dealing with illness. Whatever might be facing right now. Lord, I pray for each one of us, I pray Lord that you would strengthen us for you promise to be our strength. So I pray father that you would strengthen us this morning and give us the strength that we need for you promise, to be our refuge. You promise to be our Fortress. So father I can meet all those into your hands. For you say, cast our burdens on you. Will you say that you will give us rest some other? We praying for your rest. This morning. Give us the strength that we need and help us Lord. God to remember your word help us to keep your words into our hearts so that we might not sin against you. We love you. Father, may you be magnified and be glorified in Jesus name, we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen song.
