The people believe God forgets. (1-7)

The Israelites think God will just forget everything.
Knock the ice under the fridge.
We cannot push our sins to the side and just pretend they never happened.
We can truly acknowledge our sin.

The people believe others can solve their problems. (8-10)

The Israelites relied on “half baked” foreign policy.
Somebody else will
We cannot count on others to solve our problems.
We can rely on God instead of others.

The people believe they can be inconsistent. (11-16)

The Israelites go back and forth on their actions.

We must choose a side.
We can choose to side with the Lord.
We can avoid letting bad thinking destroy our relationship with the Lord.
