It is critical to understand our position in order to correctly relate to the God which saved us
All things - Colossians 1:13–18 “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. God is satisfied with the atoning death of Christ. It has made it possible for the Father to forgive and have a relation with us
The God of the O.T. was the God of wrath, fierce and angry - Jesus’ sacrifice has turned away His wrath.

God of the N.T. is the God of Love
God did this Himself, we did nothing to turn His wrath. God deals with believers in love. Even the world is experiencing for the most part a God of Love, but that will end with the taking of the Restrainer.
