We are called to the family business.

That family business is to bring Jesus and heaven to all spaces and rooms in our lives together.
Jesus resurrects the young girl who dies.
Play Video of The Chosen when Jesus heals Jairus’s daughter from death.
(Matt 9:18-25)(Luke 8:41-56)(Mark 5:35-43)
Who is in the room with you?
When Jesus in in the room with you it all can change.
When the ones you love need something impossible to happen, then you need to be diligent about who you allow to be with you.
If you are struggling in your marriage?
Who is in the room with you?
Do you know that Jesus is in the room with you?
Do you know testimonies of How Jesus heals relationships in your heart and mind?
Do you have people around that have faith in you both and in Jesus to restore, redeem and heal.
Or
Do you allow people in your circle or room who agree with your suffering?
Do you have those people who help you embrace the negative story life is telling you.
Hopeless, embrace that life is not fair, embrace that God does not do those things for you.........
If you go to those who do not have faith for what you have faith for, it will impact the fruit in your life.
Sometimes you need to put strong boundaries on who you allow in the room. Example:
Story of pastor’s wife cheated on him.
Ron and Hope Carpenter and their redemption story is very powerful.
What is the family business?
To bring heaven to earth in all rooms and arenas of our world.
Your family is a room.
Your friendship circle is a room.
Your health is a room.
When one of your rooms is facing something impossible, do you invite Jesus into that room.
Who you have in the room makes a difference.
Psalm 23 (NASB95)
A Psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Lie down in green pastures - Peace in the middle of storms, peace when that should not be.
His Name’s sake - we are being called to be His Family Business clothed in grace and truth, power and character.
Rod and Staff - The tension you feel when Jesus tells the people that she is not dead she is sleeping and kicking them out. Is the rod and the staff.
Prepare the table - He will bring food and fruit in your life where those apposed to you will see evidence of His Grace at work in you.
My cup overflows - We will be in His presence and full of joy, love, and all that flows from Him.
Closing
Do you have a room that needs Jesus?
You are called to the family business of bringing heaven into that room
Invite Jesus to join you.
Ask who has faith in what Jesus can do in that room?
Are there people that you need to exclude from telling about your problems?
Who has God sent to help you stay in faith towards the challenges in your life?
Who would you ask to be in the room with you when you were praying for someone?
When you are asked to be in the room or space in peoples impossible, how do you know you should be there or not.
Faith is how you know you should be there. Faith only comes by hearing God not because of guilt, pleasing people or even compassion.
Activation:
What space or room do you need Jesus to enter?
Ask Jesus:
Who is allowed in that room with us?
Who is not allowed in that room?
Let those invited people know today or tomorrow they are invited into that room.
Both sides need to agree so if you invite someone but they say no, ask for another name or change what being involved means.
Maybe you need to define what being in the room with them means.
It could be as little as praying for them or as big as checking in daily and you being accountable too.
Ask Holy Spirit for guidance on the details.
You do not want someone in the room who does not have faith.
Faith comes by hearing God.
Hearing you does not give them faith.
Matthew 9:18–25 NASB95
18 While He was saying these things to them, a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 Jesus got up and began to follow him, and so did His disciples. 20 And a woman who had been suffering from a hemorrhage for twelve years, came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak; 21 for she was saying to herself, “If I only touch His garment, I will get well.” 22 But Jesus turning and seeing her said, “Daughter, take courage; your faith has made you well.” At once the woman was made well. 23 When Jesus came into the official’s house, and saw the flute-players and the crowd in noisy disorder, 24 He said, “Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him. 25 But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.
Mark 5:35–43 NASB95
35 While He was still speaking, they came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?” 36 But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.” 37 And He allowed no one to accompany Him, except Peter and James and John the brother of James. 38 They came to the house of the synagogue official; and He saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing. 39 And entering in, He said to them, “Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep.” 40 They began laughing at Him. But putting them all out, He took along the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and entered the room where the child was. 41 Taking the child by the hand, He said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded. 43 And He gave them strict orders that no one should know about this, and He said that something should be given her to eat.
Luke 8:41–56 NASB95
41 And there came a man named Jairus, and he was an official of the synagogue; and he fell at Jesus’ feet, and began to implore Him to come to his house; 42 for he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. But as He went, the crowds were pressing against Him. 43 And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone, 44 came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His cloak, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped. 45 And Jesus said, “Who is the one who touched Me?” And while they were all denying it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing in on You.” 46 But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me, for I was aware that power had gone out of Me.” 47 When the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came trembling and fell down before Him, and declared in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched Him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace.” 49 While He was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacher anymore.” 50 But when Jesus heard this, He answered him, “Do not be afraid any longer; only believe, and she will be made well.” 51 When He came to the house, He did not allow anyone to enter with Him, except Peter and John and James, and the girl’s father and mother. 52 Now they were all weeping and lamenting for her; but He said, “Stop weeping, for she has not died, but is asleep.” 53 And they began laughing at Him, knowing that she had died. 54 He, however, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Child, arise!” 55 And her spirit returned, and she got up immediately; and He gave orders for something to be given her to eat. 56 Her parents were amazed; but He instructed them to tell no one what had happened.
