Introduction

“God established His church the way He wanted and now He wants His church the way He established it.”
“Back to basics”

1. The Gathering of God’s people (Acts 1:12-13)

Hebrews 10:23–25 “23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; 24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

2. The Prayer or God’s people (Acts 1:14, 24-25)

3. The Power of The Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-13)

Pentecost is from the Greek word for “fiftieth day.” It was the Greek name for the Hebrew Feast of Weeks, which fell 50 days after Passover. The Feast of Weeks celebrated the calling of the Hebrews into a covenant relationship with God at Mt. Sinai. The Day of Pentecost falls 50 days after Easter.

4. The Proclamation of the Gospel (Acts 2:14-36)

Conclusion (Acts 2:37-42)
