Several factors determine the quality and value of a pearl, including:
1. Luster: This refers to the shine or glow of a pearl. High-quality pearls have a strong, mirror-like luster, reflected from the many layers of nacre.
2. Size: Larger pearls are generally more valuable, as they are rarer and require a longer cultivation period. S
3. Shape: Round pearls are usually the most desired and command higher prices.
4. Color: Pearls come in a range of colors, including white, cream, pink, silver, black, and more.
5. Surface quality: Pearls with smooth, blemish-free surfaces are considered higher quality and more valuable.
Imperfections such as spots, bumps, or cracks can lower a pearl's value.
6. Origin: The place where a pearl was harvested can also affect its value.
Certain regions, such as Tahiti, Japan, or Australia, are well-known for producing higher-quality pearls,

B. His Selection

Matthew 13:46 NKJV
46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
Found the biggest perfectly round one and it possessed the greatest white luster that was smooth and blemish-free and not to say the origin was known for producing high quality pearls.
