2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:

To begin with brothers and sisters Christians Friends, Well Wishers, Saints of God and to all Home comers. it is indeed and honor as well as a blesseth privilege to teach, talk and tell us about the 7 Blessing.

First of all I’m glad to be here.

Second I’m glad I’ve got a God that has multiple blessings in His Hand.

Third He woke me up this morning and started me on my way.

Fourth I’ve got reasonable health and strength and the activity of my limbs.

Fifth I’m in my right mind and I can thank the Lord for being so good to me.

Sixth I’ve got a roof over my head a bed to sleep in

Seventh I can take a bath at my own house and I’ve got sweet smelling clean towels just for me.

Eighth I’ve got food on my table and some in the cubbert too.

Ninth Blessing is I can open up God’s word and find new and fresh and wonderful blessing in His word each and every day. Tenth Blessing is that God’s Goodness is too wonderful for me and If I had ten thousand tongues I wouldn’t have enough to tell the world How Good God’s been to me.

I’ve got a question Am I the only one that God has been good to. The bible says let the redeemed of the Lord say so. The bible says Let everything that has breath praise the Lord The bible says that God is worthy of all the honor, the praise, and the glory. He deserves for us to lift up our voice and bless His holy name.

In Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. In other words, All that I am, praise the LORD; everything in me, praise his holy name. First of all before I can expound, explain, and exergete on the 7 Blessings I need you to know what a blessing is. In the Hebrew vernacular the word Blessing is the word Barak. Yeah Barak And it literally means (An Act of Adoration) It’s a personal outpouring of affection and kindness supplicated with divine benefits. Listen Good now The blessings of the Lord are sure and He adds no sorrow to it. In other words when God Blesses you the devil in hell can’t do you no harm. What do you mean Pastor? I mean if God gives you a new car He’ll provide a way for you to pay for that car because He’s Jehovah Jireh the Lord our Provider. If God Blesses you with peace from all your enemies it’s because He’s Jehovah Shalom the Lord our peace. If God gives a covering over your household it’s because He’s Jehovah Nissi The Lord’s Banner of Love is over me. How many people want to Bless the Lord today? The Psalmist say Bless the Lord oh my Soul. and all that is within me.With everything in me I’ll bless the Lord. With everything attached to my soul to my Ne-fesh my appetite Meaning we ought to have an appetite to bless the Lord. It’s what you desire it’s what you have an appetite for.

And the second Blessing is Bless His Holy name. The Lord’s name is Holy. The Lord’s Name is Righteous, The Lord’s Name is Truth. The Lord’s Name is All Powerful Protective and Personal. The Lord’s name is Matchless Majestic, Magnificent, and full of Majesty. The Lord’s Name is Loving and Kind. The Lord’s Name is Redemptive and Rejuvenating. The Lord’s Name is our Salvation. We will bless His Holy Name in His House.

The third Blessing.

Tell your Neighbor: It’s the Third Blessing now

The bible says in verse 2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

1. In verse 2 the text starts off with Bless the Lord, oh my Soul just like verse

1. But watch this then it shifts to and Don’t forget How good God has been to you. Wait now He’s given you benefits that nobody else could have given to you.

2. God forgives us from all of our mess up from all of our iniquities from all of our short comings.

3. God heals all of our sicknesses and diseases. I can’t talk for you but The Lord healed my cancer. Yeah 3x and This is where I say you can’t tell it Like I can tell it what the lord has done for me. Somebody shout Hallelujah!!!.

4. God redeemed your life from destruction. Because you know better than me that you shouldn’t been dead sleeping in your grave but the lord made old death behave.

5. God crown us with Loving kindness and tender mercies And that’s a thank you Lord moment because All of us have sinned and come short of the glory of God. I’m so glad that God didn’t forget to be loving and kind and be merciful to me How about you?

6. God satisfies me with good things and makes me young again, like the eagle. In other word when you have God’s blessing in your life it keeps you young and persevered for restoration and revival.

The Fourth Blessing Technically 3x comes way down in verse 20. But! in order not to commit Hermenutical treason with God, I’ll try to get us from verse 5 to verse 20 quickly. Give me a few minutes. The text teaches talks and tells in verse 6-19 the following things:

1. God will do right by people who have been wronged by other people. Especially to Moses and the Children of Israel against Egypt

2. God showed looked pass our faults and didn’t get angry with us when we were dead wrong. God didn’t deal with us according to our sins. That’s a thank you Jesus moment.Read verse 10. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. God didn’t punish us like our sins call for.

3. God will take away our sins from us as far as the east is from the west when we love and respect God for who He is.

4. God’s mercy is so profound because he made us and knows all about us God knows that we were made from dust. God made man from the dust of the ground breathed into his nostrils and man became a living soul. God knows we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity

5. Then in verses 15 -18 I’m paraphrasing That mankind is like the grass that withers and like the flowers that fade but God’s Love for the child of God endures from everlasting to everlasting for forever even through all generations all the way to our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

6. God says in verse 19 MY throne is in heaven and I rule and reign over everything. And brothers and sisters since God is in charge of everything I’d just like to recognize Him as our Sovereign GOD. And

Then there is the Fourth Blessing That Blessing is that we are warriors meaning that we’re in a battle of good vs evil because we obey God’s voice hearkening to God’s commandments. We are Christians who reverence God and we are more than conquerors through Christ that strengthens us. And the essence of the fourth blessing is that You and I have divine power to be warriors for God. Tell your Neighbor: You have some of God’s power, So don’t forget to be a warrior for God. We ought too be able to stand up an be a witness for the Lord. Don’t let nobody shake you on your job, in the community, in the grocery store, or anywhere else and silence your witnessing warrior God given power. Because the word of God says you excel in strength because we are God’s angels here in earth.

The Fifth Blessing is found in verse 21 Let’s read it together “Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.” Can I let you in in a big secret? The child of God that does what pleases God have Faith in Him. Because Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. The text says all of his Hosts. That’s us. The text says all Ministers of His. That means to me that God is claiming ownership of the Child of God. That means that we are covered under God’s covering. You ever went to a place and said I belong to the Great Pilgrim B.C and when you said it they said “OH Ok” I hear great things about that church” Yes sir.. Amen. Well that’s how it is when you acknowledge that you are one of his servants, and you’re a part of His ministers that do His work and that You’ll do what ever it takes to please God.

The Sixth Blessing in the text is found in verse 22. Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: I see a couple of nuggets in the text. 1. The phrase Bless the LORD. Bless the Lord is written 5 x in the text In verses 1,2,20,21,& 22 But each time it was for something different. In verse 1. It was Bless the Lord for my soul and my appetite for God.

In verse 2 It was Bless the Lord for all of His Benefits towards me. In verse 20 it was Bless the Lord because we are considered God’s warrior angels with divine strength to do his will.

In verse 21 it was Bless the Lord because God claimed me as His child doing His commandments that please Him.

And then finally in verse 22 it was Bless the Lord because of all his works in all places of his dominion. Well that means that I will Bless the Lord because of His Omnipotence because the text says because of all His works. God has All Power and He made it All. All of Creation He’s Omnipotent. Then the text says that we ought to bless God because God didn’t forget about Pilgrim. The last time I checked Pilgrim is still a part of God’s Dominion. Yeah 3x God is still in charge of Pilgrim and we acknowledge Our Maker at this Great Pilgrim Church especially on Homecoming where family and friends have come from near and far. God gets the Glory God gets the Honor God get the all of the Praise.

And then finally the Seventh Blessing is in the b clause of verse 22 it says Bless the LORD, O my soul. The tint tone and timbre in text wraps it all up by saying the same thing it said in verse 1. Bless the LORD O my soul. Well I’ve held y’all long enough and I’ve got to close here. But tah I’m so glad that God Love me. When I was growing up as a child we sing Jesus Loves me this I know for the bible tell me so Little ones to Him belong.... Oh Yes jesus Love me because The Bible tells me so. Um Um and The Lord is still in the prayer answering business um um and He’s still upon His throne Please Sir to have Mercy Oh Lord Oh Lordy! Ah

Yes and when I think about the Goodness of the Lord and all that He’s done for me my souls cry out and say thank you Lord because You’ve been so good to me. Lord you brought me from a mighty Long ways. Yes because should’ve been dead! Thank you.
