The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness,
Romans 2:1 NIV
You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.
Romans 2:15 NIV
They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)
Romans 3:20 NIV
Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Romans 3:21 NIV
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify.
Romans 3:22 NIV
This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile,

have sinned
and are falling short
Romans 3:24 NIV
and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
justified - declared righteous
redemption - buying out of slavery
Romans 3:25 NIV
God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—
Romans 3:25 CSB

he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 3:27 NIV
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.
Romans 3:28 NIV
For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
Romans 3:29–30 NIV
Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith.
Romans 3:31 NIV
Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

What about me?

Romans 1:16–17 NIV
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
no boasting, no pride
not a matter of how much faith… faith is not an effort, a work whereby we save ourselves — faith is an open hand to receive what God is giving
it doesn’t matter how unrighteous a person is, there is hope in the gospel!
No matter how far removed you feel, God is reaching out to show you mercy!
Free from guilt and shame!
Redeemed - freedom from the sin that wants to enslave me
free from the fear of death
knowing how God has forgiven me, the worst of sinners, I am able to forgive
