  • "I went in response to a revelation and set before them the Gospel that I preach among the Gentiles" (Galatians 2:2).

The world tells us to forget about Christ – ‘He’s out-of-date’. Paul tells us that our faith is based on God's revelation. This was not something dreamed up by Paul. It was given to him by God. God sent His Son. Jesus died for us. God raised from the dead. These things were not made up by Paul. This is not Paul's Gospel. It is the God's Gospel.

    • "We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the Gospel might remain with you" (Galatians 2:5).

The world tells us that we can leave Christ in the past. Paul tells us that Christ is the Good News for today. He speaks about "the truth of the Gospel." It was true in Paul's day. It is true in our day. When Paul's time had come and gone, the Gospel remained. The Gospel is God's truth. It is truth unchanged, unchanging and unchangeable. It is still "the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes" (Romans 1:16).

    • "I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the Gospel to the Gentiles" (Galatians 2:7).

The Gospel is not only to be believed. It's to be preached. It's Good News for every nation. It's Good News for every generation.

    • "They recognized the grace given to me" (Galatians 2:9).

It is by grace that we are saved (Ephesians 2:8). It is by grace that we are called to preach the Gospel - "Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8).

    • "We should continue to remember the poor" (Galatians 2:10).

Preaching the Gospel is more than talking the talk. We must walk the walk. We must live the life of those who love the Lord.
