How many of us are here because we really want to be here? How many of us are here because we feel we have to be here?

How many of us are here and truly look forward to being here every time we get the opportunity. How many of us are just like when we go to work are just “putting in our time”

Psalm 100:1-5 (KJV 1900)

1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.

Verse 1 – Make a joyful noise!

We need to praise his name!

Hebrews 13:15 (KJV 1900)

15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

a.       Don’t just let someone else do the praising while we sit idly by.

b.      Don’t hold back your praise and worship!

c.       Praise God continually not just for a few moments!

Verse 2 Serve the Lord with Gladness!

Are you truly happy to be in the house of God?

John 4:23-24 (KJV 1900)

23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

a.        Truly worship not just put on an act. Many churches today are filled with people who are just acting out worship not doing it!

b.       Ever have anyone tell you what a wonderful person you were how great a person you were, or how much they cared about you, but you knew they didn’t mean a word they were saying?

c.       He knows not only what I say but he also knows if I mean it! We must serve the Lord with gladness! How many of us are truly glad to be here?

Psalm 122:1 (KJV 1900)

1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Verse 3 The Lord He is God!

a.       How many of us just come when we have time for it? The Lord is God

b.      How many of us find time to worship God in our prayers?

c.       How many of us tell others about Him?

1 Chronicles 16:8 (KJV 1900)

8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, Make known his deeds among the people.

Verse 4 – Enter into his gates with thanksgiving in your heart!

What is do you think about when coming into the church house? This is God’s house!

Psalm 150 (KJV 1900)

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: Praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: Praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: Praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: Praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: Praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
