These days we seem to like it quiet in church “Church Normal” is a term used by a lot of ministers but what will happen (I say will because we must work to get closer) when we get closer to God?

Acts 2:1-4 (KJV 1900)

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

1.   When we are filled with God’s Holy Spirit?

a.       1 accord (together in mind) in one place (the same place) no thinking about problems

b.      Nobody was left out because of belief,

c.       The Holy Spirit changed them and others saw the change!

Acts 2:6 (KJV 1900)

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

2.   You can see and hear the effect of getting closer to God!

a.       Moses got close to God on the mountain 40 days and nights

b.      God changed his appearance

Exodus 34:28–33 (KJV 1900)

c.       David brought back the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem he danced before the Lord with all his might!

3.    What will you do today?

a.       Like the people in Jerusalem will you just be amazed and in doubt?

b.      Like the children of Israel in Moses time put a veil over it to keep it hidden?

c.       Like David’s wife Michal look down with hatred while others praise God?

2 Samuel 6:16 (KJV 1900)

16 And as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.

2 Corinthians 3:12-13 (KJV 1900)

12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

 Joel 2:28-29 (KJV 1900)

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, That I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids In those days will I pour out my spirit.
